Movie Theater The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Well, remember they were talking about how the two police zombies didn't have any apparent bite marks on them, so maybe it's a hint that there's some new airborne form of the virus, or something similar. I doubt they just pointed out the fact the two guys didn't have any bite marks for no reason. Something is up.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Its water bourne. There have been some flashes of lots of walkers stuck in a water tank or cistern. It seems, as some have already said, that this stupid assed wallering around with zombie juice everywhere, after just having a knockdown-dragout, to be almost a guaranteed infection.

Ditto. Not to mention the amount of blood getting splattered on peoples faces in certain situations- can't tell me NONE of that got in their eyes or mouth.....

Or just infection in general- that black guy (sorry- can't remember his name) got an infection from cutting himself on a car door, but apparently it's just not an issue in any other circumstance.

That's what I originally thought, but now that situation has come and gone with no mention of that scene so I'm thinking it has something to do with the virus.

I've been reading about the comic books lately and it seems like there is more to the virus than the show puts out. I'm not going to spoil anything but from what I've read the title of the show is not a reference to the zombies.

shit..interesting thought

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

The show definitely is more of a horror drama than a zombie slasher movie. You guys bring up a good point, how could so many people and army bases be overrun by zombies? there has to be something more than a zombie bit someone and then another and then another. They keep thinking "there is no hope." If it were just some zombies, find a spot and fortify it with walls, livestock, water source and plant some fruits and veggies. it would be the 1700's meets mad max meets zombies. BUt no hope, shit, it would be nothing but hope.

This last episode touched on that when they killed the two security guard walkers and then noticed no bite marks on them.

In addition to that the whole compound was locked up, in or out, and they whole group that had been living there had turned. Burnt bodies could have been early infectee's...

Heard a spoiler last night from the girlfriend....don't read if you don't want to know.... Shane's gonna die apparently..

Shanes supposed to already be long dead. Shot by Carl. So the TV show has taken an alternate storyline already.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Yea, but Shane is one of the biggest characters on the show. How are they gonna just kill him off? You gotta realize that tv shows have to abide by certain tv show rules. Comic books, not so much. So yea, there are probably going to be differences. Then again, what do I know?

I agree with what you guys are saying above, the burnt bodies were a dead giveaway. I like how Rick just looked at them, gave them a strange look, and then walked away. You know he's either slowly putting two and two together, or he already knows and is trying to figure out what to do.

Also, what odds do you guys give Merle still being alive?

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Wow, good episode tonight!

I think the kid realized that actions have consequences or the lack off....

Yeah, i think rick's got it figured out or close to doing so.

Merle is alive and well, i have a feeling he's with the 'other' group....

That kid's an idiot for loosing that gun too! I'm ready to see daryl come unhinged when he figures that out.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Good episode? the entirety of that show should have taken 6 minutes. I'm pissed that its now a soap opera, I'm done watching this crap. Hell, Shane should have shot Carl, that kids pissing me off. Just glad that Dale is gone... now zombie cows!!! As far as I am concerned the series is over.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

I was just about ready to come on here and say how dull the show was, then the end came, lol. Good ending. They still need to get the hell off that farm though. It's really getting too dull there. I think for the third season they need to migrate to a different part of the country, maybe in search of a settlement or something. Would be nice to get a fresh backdrop and would allow for more excitement.

IMO, they should have killed the kid. It's about time they set their morals aside and just took action, whether it's the right decision or not. This was probably the first episode where I realized I actually agree with Shane's ideas more than Rick's.

And yes, I take my TV shows very seriously, lol.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

That kid wouldnt have been an issue if i was there....that fucker would have been a buffet for the dead speared on that fence. Why would you save him after he was trying to snipe you.

any doubts about him went out the window after his conversation with Carl......lying sack.

Carl is pissing me off but his friggin mom cant watch that kid for 5 minutes....she cant even keep him locked down while they are going to kill the prisoner...wtf...trailer trash beyotch. she actually looks skinny enough to be a crack addict.

On a good note...thank goodness Dale is dead. I mean it was a fitting ending to the Liberal in the group.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

You know it was dull when our wife says " someone better start killing someone" It dragged on until the ending. Civilization ended when one of those fucks ate someone, the poor kid would have been dead a long time ago. You have to protect your own in such a scenario. But such events will never happen, I hope!

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Yea, talk about a horrible mother. Let's let my kid wander all over the place, in the zombie infested woods no less, steal guns, treat that lady "Carol" with such disrespect. Sounds like a really good idea to me.

Honestly, she needs to get her act together and discipline Carl before he gets more people killed.

And holy shit, why does everyone treat Carol with such disrespect? What the hell did she do to anyone? Damn.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Horrendous writing. I've done crazy stuff in my lifetime, but in the zombie apocalypse as an 8-12 year old the hell if I'm wandering some woods by myself.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Guide says something is running around the farm in next week's episode and it is more dangerous than walkers. Anyone know what it is?

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Is there a reason why they have crappy cloths, drive old or new crappy cars (friggin tank in the first series, ? armored trucks, LAV's),,,, making wood bolts for his crossbow (see - instant frag of bolt) (dosn't anybody have radio's - ? CB's, they never know where anybody went or why their not back)

Zombie cow!!!

Another note, did anybody else think that walker gutted dale just a bit too easy? It's not like he was holding a gut hook.....

I did think that. I'm not going ask too many questions on that front because I'm just glad he's finally dead.

Anyway, as for the guy above, I agree. Do you even realize how huge my stockpile of Ferrari's would be by now? Big.

I wondered what rick was up to until i saw him reach back on his belt.

Ya it seems like it could be.....but is the kid gonna eat it's way out like in aliens? I was a bit confused when the prisoner 'resurrected' i figured ricks' knife just had blood on it from previous kills.... But now i see where it's going. But ya, they best get ready for a BIG Fight!

You notice Darryl wondering WTF happened to his Beretta?

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

I was getting pissed when I saw they were actually moving into the house. Looks like a huge wave of zombies is about to set that straight though, lol.

Anyway, HOLY SHIT I can't believe they killed off Shane. That's actually kind of a bummer. Oh well, maybe they'll bring back Merle or something.

Excited about a possible change of scenery at least.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Oh and when the did the zombie whacking at the begginning it reminded me of the scene from office space when they take their aggression out on that printer! But i digress....

Said the same thing to my wife as we watched.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Graham</div><div class="ubbcode-body">The Zombies aren't scary any more when a small child can outrun one. </div></div>

Graham, the entire phenomenon behind zombie horror is from the overwhelming horde entrapping you with no way out. The original George Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" portrayed it the best. When zombies started running in the B movie spin-offs, it ruined it. A slow zombie shows a rigamortis and decay effect. Now J.L. Bourne incorporated fast moving zombies in his work, but it was due to radiation from nukes actually killing the bacteria leading to decomposition reversal almost, which makes for a decent explanation of their running. I am liking Walking Dead using scratches and bites as means for infection, but I dont like how all the blood splatter getting all over everyone is not causing any infection. If it is viral, the last thing you would want on you is infected blood. 28 days later portrayed the blood borne infection very nicely.

Yes Im a fanatic I admit, but do I have a zombie apocalypse bug out kit made up... Hell no.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Who asked why Darryl isn't wondering where his Beretta went? I tell you why. Because he is too busy wondering where his <span style="text-decoration: underline">Browning High Power </span>is at to worry about his Beretta....if he ever had a Beretta. That is what it looks like to me, either that or a CZ75...it's not a Beretta.
All that matters is Shane is dead...good riddance to a bad apple.

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

One hell of an episode for sure. Is the virus airborne now though? Shane and the kid whose neck he broke both turned quickly after death with no bites from a walker.

...and 28 Weeks Later is probably the best zombie flick, IMO. It was vicious!

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

I almost wonder if the virus isn't spread to the non-bitten via ticks or the like and doesn't kick in until the body dies from another cause.

On the Talking Dead show, somebody thought that maybe you become a zombie after you die if you lived a 'sinful' life which would be in line with the Voodoo "Zombi" maybe even a little of the Karma idea from Buddhism...

Thoughts?

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

Didn't Shane turn because Rick stabbed him with the same knife he had stabbed a zombie in the head. If I remember right, Rick and Shane were looking at the 2 zombie cops and remarked how they hadn't been biten, that "maybe a scratch" was why they turned. Could it be cross contamination from items that come in contact with zombie blood?

Re: The Walking Dead Season 2 part 2

I thought of the knife but that would not explain the kid that Shane snuffed in the woods. Surely they did not miss this in the making. Season finale looks to be damn good, maybe this will be answered.
