It’s war. The objective is to win. Putin moved his assets out of range, used them to mostly attack civilian infrastructure, and then starts talking nuclear because the enemy increased the range of its weapons. We call that, tough shit. Don’t like it? Agree to a ceasefire, and knock off the gamesmanship. I might be tired of fighting everyone’s wars, but that doesn’t mean you get to play me for the fool.
War is a tool of foreign policy of all nations russia wants the uke [because of its location] to stop whoring itself to nato , I think russia will get most of what it wants in the long run or the craters in the uke will get bigger .

A lot of us believe the Russians are holding back their generals as much as possible until Trump gets in. Putin's speech to the world 2 days after the US election was very positive and coming across as pro Trump. He stated that it was a very real step toward countering the NWO pricks.
My take is that Putin would love to resume being a world economic player while letting his people and country prosper without war. My take also includes the belief that Putin will stand his ground firmly when it comes to the West trying to push NATO to his border (against promises by the West to do the opposite.) As commander and chief of the RU, he is simply responding to a threat the same way we would hope our own leadership would respond to China, Russia or NK putting troops, bases, labs and missiles in Mexico, Cuba or Canada. We wouldn't stand for it one second, but he is supposed to ignore our own transgressions.
Some fence sitting MSM is saying that Russia is in a weakened state and also that Putin fears DJT ratcheting up the offensive push in their war. I believe the opposite and rather than fear, Putin respects DJT considering their interactions from 2016 to 2020.
Like you, this is just my opinion and is also likely fraught with errors.

I'm guessing there are a LOT of variables that RU has to consider in regards to any type of nuclear deployment.
In addition to the world political and military response, I'm still thinking they don't want ANY fission/fusion byproducts in the soil, air or water anywhere close to their borders. Even western Ukraine is proximate to Russian soil when it comes to prevailing winds and half-life decay timelines.

Reading is fundamental part of understanding. Maybe you want to cruise back up thread and read what I wrote about Ukraine before you call me an NPC, boomer. Let me help you out, it’s a kleptocracy and I could not care less about their war with Russia. What I do care about is Russia running over countries every time Putin needs to jack his approval up, or some civilian jackass at State gives him a pretext. That’s because it creates a situation where we get dragged in and we end up in a shitty mess like this. I’m tired of fighting everybody’s wars.
Overall I think the Russian people largely want the same things we want, peace and stability. Im not so sure what Putin wants after seeing what happened in Georgia, Crimea, the Donbas, etc. maybe he should take a step back and look at what’s coming in January, rather than trying to game the battlespace and look like the caricature the civilian clown car has tried to make him. YMMV.

agree,bombing civ infrastructure is certainly something that no one but putin has ever done. putin has been incredibly patient. biden regime has given him every reason to declare war on us and nato. he hasn't because he seems to know that that would quickly go nuc and he knows no one wins that. it seems that our NWO compliant gov hasn't figured that out yet.
