I've noticed in this and other recent vids that include footage from frontline RU troops, there are a LOT of semi-auto 12gauge shotguns with extended tubes sown into the mix. They appear to have dedicated individuals that have the sole responsibility of being on drone watch.

I suspect that Putin has this lame duck aggression added into his calculus. Anyone at that level would. I’m not pro-Putin, but this would be common sense. And NATO is making hay off of it. If this happens, the question then becomes: if the negotiations then fall apart, what is done with the NATO troops that will have been sent there? Both sides will resupply during the ceasefire. Doesn't take a mental heavyweight to understand that Russia thinks the peacekeepers are being sent to augment the Ukes and that the negotiators would purposely derail the talks. Then suddenly at the restart of the conflict - the calculus is whether or not Putin has the balls to directly fight NATO troops and deal with the potential drastic expansion of adversaries as everyone piles in. So the peacekeeping force becomes a part of the negotiations for Russia to bend to, or ignore and deal with the risks of directly engaging NATO.

Its a trap. It becomes especially obvious when you add in the constant comments by those involved regarding the strengthening Ukraine's hand for negotiations.

i think i can get the seeming fighting willingness of many ukes. ukraine has taken a lot of damage from russia over the centuries,esp 20th. took a lot of damage from germans as well. with all that history,i see the desire of many ukes to harm russia. not rational in the reality of relative military power. to me would be sorta like japan trying to attack us after ww2. common borders make histories very different.
