I think you’re confusing two groups with two types of ammo he mentions. SK is .5 and Eley is under an inch yet
Factory 20" with Stock-Tek adjustable cheek riser. Arken SH4 6x24, 25 MOA rail. Over the years I've only had a few factory .22s that are this accurate. I go through 15 different types of ammo to find what each prefers. Sure the Voodoo and custom CZ built for NRL are pretty close, but the T1x is light enough for a decent bench shooter and practical hunter. Most of the other Tikkas around here are sub moa or very close as well. I got lucky with this one.
If I can get at least 3 consecutive 5 shot groups that are consistent, I call it for that rifle.
As you probably know, past 50 yards, it doesn't take much wind to have a negative impact. I haven't stretched this one out past 100 yet, but the other 2 tight shooters are consistent to 300 yards.
I did convert to the vertical pistol grip, too.

I think I've finally resolved my ejection issues. The T1x has a shared heritage and small part design with the Sako Quad, it also has extraction and ejection issues.
The issue seems to be the extractor being pushed off the rim when chambered. Some have had the relief cuts in the barrel enlarged, most opt for the easier method of removing some material off the nose of the extractor.
Many UK threads on this going back over a decade.

You guys and your half MOA nonsense. I just shot 30 rounds (ETA @100 yards) of Eley Target today at the range, from a bench, good conditions. This was my group. I was very pleased to have found .22 ammo that cost less than $10 a box that was capable of shooting at around 2 inches with no wind.

Half MOA is a bit too much, would rather have quarter MOA groups if possible...
It's all about target size, is it not? If 2 MOA is good enough for you, then why would you bother chasing tighter groups.
It's no fun competing if the rifle/ammo combo isn't on par.
I'm with ya epeet. I mostly stay away from the online forums because of all the dishonest clown show. Guys breaking WORLD records online regularly with 10/22 and $3 a box ammo AND if you play the BS card they get all high and mighty about it. Quarter MOA average with a .22 give me a break.
My Anschütz had consistent <17 mm groups with tried ammo (R-50). Olympic level is <14 mm (@50 m).
Never said I shoot ¼ MOA groups, just that what I'm hoping for. The KYL 5th target is ¼".
The clowns are those that won't spend the time (and money) trying out ammo for their rifle and then cry about it not being possible or too expensive...
OK CD. .5 moa = 6.65 mm @ 50 yds. <17 mm ?? I would enjoy shooting with people that have optimized equipment and ammo just to see how my budget equipment/ammo would compare.
Find a NRL22 or PRS22 match near you and go try it out.

I assumed that @epeet Was shooting his group at 50 m. Since that's my normal 22lr target distance...
And I've also been consuming to many YT vids where they measure group sizes in inches...
Sometimes I think too fast, hence my nick. Heckle away...
#1. Peep sight and sling. No scope or bipod (or bag). Prone. Distance 50 m. A "10" is 10.4 mm in diameter. 40 consecutive shots.
#2. A local 22lr PRS or NRL match shouldn't be too hard to find?
I also tried FGMM (30 rds @ 100 yards), which grouped slightly better overall, same price locally ($8/50), but had a higher overall ES. Still a better option than CCI SV most of the time, depending on your use case. For comparison CCI SV was ~4 inches, but there was a bit of wind. Still, group was WAY wider. Not a surprise. I shoot thousands of rounds of CCI SV through my Tikka each year and it generally feels like a 3.5 inch / 100 yard load. Now mind you, I don't believe in fliers or ever cherry pick groups and I prefer to think about accuracy in terms what a gun will do with a box of ammo. That lets me have reasonable expectations and know when its me and not the ammo.

Is this the Tikka T1X discussion? Some guy/ combos are better than others. Lets move on. I have a t1x with an epoxy reinforced stock(3-4lb). I am mounting a vector 10-40 sentinal to see how the combo works. This scope was very good on a savage mk11 btv.

That’s pretty typical. There’s a thread about shooting the whole box into a group which I’m sure you’ve seen. The .5moa is just a load of BS. Easy to get some 5 shot groups in that range but but not consistently, and that’s with top tier ammo. The dude claiming that is compensating for some daddy issues or just doesn’t know how to measure…
Yeah, 'cause all real shooters know that 100 yds/m is too far to judge 22lr accuracy due to wind and ammo inconsistency.

A good friend of mine bought a T1X to shoot a bunch of our local matches ( silhouette nrl and a sort of outlaw prs.) he has been delighted with it. In just his 3rd silhouette match ever shot a perfect 40/40. If I wasn’t deeply invested into my Kidd 10/22 and was looking for a bolt gun, I would strongly consider one
You have correctly stated the design parameters of the action. I own two. They fit nicely into T3 stocks but the bolt throw and everything else, including the magazines, are sized to the 22lr/22WMR/17HMR family of cartridges. One think I do not like about the Vudoo, RimX, and Bergara, are the 2.800 size magazines. Also do not like the 90-degree bolt lift.
In the process of swapping the barrel for a LW 17HMR barrel. Thought a little photo essay might be nice. I haven't pressed out the OEM barrel or pressed in the LW barrel yet. Need to visit my brother's hydraulic press tonight for that. The barrel retention screws came out without any issues, but I didn't cut any corners and did things correctly. Heated the screws to break the thread locker bond. Used a shortened GOOD QUALITY Makita T15 Torx bit and a DeWalt impact driver to break the screws loose. Just bump them with the driver a few quick times while putting massive downward pressure on the driver to keep the bit in the screw. Shouldn't be a big deal if done correctly. The barrels are installed with some kind of locking compound so use some heat on the action around the barrel tenon before PRESSING (DO NOT POUND) the barrel out. You don't need a lot of heat. I used a butane barbeque grill lighter on the screws and I intend to use the same on the action. I ran the torch directly over the three screw heads for a total of about one minute. That was sufficient.
I will be receiving a T1x 17hmr 20 inch soon from Euro Optics. I would like to change out the stock. I see that Bell Carlson makes a stock for it. I was wondering if anybody has tried 1 out and how did it work out for you? Will these drop right into a Tikka T3x stock without and modifications?
Wondering also who might make a nice quality hunting stock for these. Let me know what you think. I would also like to know what kind of upgrades could be done to them.

I gotta say, and you may have already tried it and decided it’s not for you, but the factory stock with the add-on vertical grip, recoil pad, and add-on wide forend don’t suck.
About to attach a couple of flush cups and a rail section to the forend.
I’m sure I could buy something that feels better…..for a lot of money.

Here is mine in a Bravo chassis. I also have the factory stock with the vertical grip and that is nice also and might be better for a hunting stock. I had a T3x Hunter walnut stock and put that on my T1x in 22lr at one time and I really liked that set up. You can put just about any T3 stock on the T1x so you have a ton of options that are not necessarily advertised as for the T1x. The rifle pictured here is also 17HMR. The barrel is by Lothar Walther. However, the 16-inch factory barrel is a very accurate. I haven't tested this LW barrel yet.
