I had planned to order a T3 Bravo so that it was multi-purpose but after seeing the exact mods required I'm going to order the T1x inlet.

I had planned to order a T3 Bravo so that it was multi-purpose but after seeing the exact mods required I'm going to order the T1x inlet.
You don’t need to change the trigger guard. The T3x trigger guard works fine. One of my T1x’s is in a Bravo made for it and the other is in a T3. The modification is pretty easy to do. If you are willing to send me the front half of your chassis I can put it on a mill and make the modifications necessary and send it back to you. Just cover shipping and I will not charge anything for the work.
Honestly it's pretty simple to do, an electric drill and hand file would work, I don't believe it would harm the chassis but that's up to you.

It does not bother me. I know it is a 22lr when I shoot my tolle t1x. In fact, my wife likes it very much and commented how easy and nice with a short flip of the bolt and then pull back. On the other hand, she does not know better anyway, she never shot anything else other than out tikka t3 and t1. Also our steyr ssg04.
I got a chuckle out of reading this. No, just the opposite, to me it makes the rifle feel superior to others.
After only shooting rimfire for the past 3 months, it is interesting feeling when I have to use my T3X's long throw. I think the Tikka action has a throw suitable to fit 300winmag so it's a little longer than a standard 308 throw.
I’d say for me, ensuring that I don’t short cycle it has been the most important factor in preventing jams. My T1X is much more finicky about how I run the bolt compared to my CZ.
Friends Tikka, just waiting on some Sterk parts in fde to finish it up.

New to forum and first post. Just finished reading through the last 50 pages of this thread. Fantastic info and my wallet hates all of you now.
I picked up a T1X this last weekend and and got the DIP 25 MOA rail and ordered mags and the vertical pistol grip through Beretta (I used one of their coupon codes, but wished I had seen the other codes listed here). Will put a SWFA 10x on it for a while until I get a Diamondback Tactical 6-24. I pulled the action and adjusted the trigger to about 2 lbs and did a few drop tests. I had it lower, but went with the manual saying not to go lower than 2 lbs. I guess the main thing is to just function check making sure the trigger doesn't drop when the bolt is put down? Either way, it was better than the 4-5 lbs it was factory. While I had the action out, I pulled the spacer in the stock and barrel is free float now. The action seems to be pretty smooth and I running snap caps seems to function fine. Ultimate plans would be to put a KRG Bravo on it, add a Sterk bolt handle and run NRL22 matches locally. I have a Bergara HMR 6.5, so I'll try to set this up similarly and use to build skills, then try PRS with the HMR.
Separate question for those running NRL 22 matches, Is there any specific disadvantage to running an MOA/MOA scope at the NRL22 matches? Seems like as long as you know your dope, you should be fine? All of my other scopes are MOA/MOA and I'd like to stick with it.
I noticed you're in St. Charles, MO. I got mine this past weekend from Bass Pro in St Charles and at the time they had 4 in stock. I wish I'd have taken advantage of the giftcard discounts mentioned earlier in this thread to save a little. Retail was $468. Seems like that would be the best option to have one in hand ASAP unless you have a connection on something cheaper. I shoot at BRRC, and they have an NRL22 match every month there. I'm guessing you're probably already aware of that?

That's a nice setup. Is that rifle balanced right where it's sitting on the tripod? How heavy is that setup? I just bought a 3.25 lb 20" bull barrel to put on my T1X which will move the balance up in front of the magwell on my KRG Bravo, but I am curious how it'd work on the MDT ACC. How heavy are those weights attached to the front? I am guessing 2 on each side, and that bipod looks pretty hefty too...

I don't see any disadvantages running MOA/MOA as long as you know your dope and hold overs. Get a reticle that can do good holdovers between 25,50,75,100.
For me, I run mil/mil, and it's zero at 25, zero at 50, 1mil at 75, and 2mil at 100. So it's pretty easy to hold over for every shot, and never touch my scope.
In moa, it looks like zero at 25, 0 at 50, 3.5moa at 75, and 7 moa at 100.

Sorry, I meant 2mil at 100, I'm at 7.2-7.6 at 200. My first lot of Eley Target was 7.2mil (25yd zero), and my second lot of Eley Target is a little slower at 7.6mil.
If I really like the MDT ACC, I think so. Since it's a competition setup, I don't really need the lighter weight of the bravo, and ergos of the MDT with Arca Rail + Barricade Stops, etc would let me do a lot of configuration.
Right now balance point in the KRG Bravo is at the trigger guard, once I get the IBI bull barrel I am hoping it moves it to in front of the mag well so on barricade positions the rifle would just balance itself, that'd be really nice.
For my Tikka T3X, I would keep my KRG Bravo as it's actually a pretty light stock at 3.25 lbs and I could definitely see myself using that as my hunting rig. I think the difference between the Tikka CTR stock vs the KRG Bravo was only like .5 lbs.
I finally ammo tested my fiance's 10/22 competition. Before this I only really shot CCI SV and Green Tag through it since it was her rifle and she was still learning. I did a 6x5 with Tenex once and it shot really great, so I went out today to go and actually test a few lots of ammo / types to see how it went.
I'm new to rimfire (started this year) and it's now getting cold. I've been shooting all summer long in the 70's and today it was 45 and could see the nice cold breath and fingers getting chilly.
I started off with a box of green tag that her rifle had previously zeroed on, and I couldn't get it to shoot well. It would miss by 3-4 inches at 100 yards, so I went back to 25 yards, and every other shot was left/right by almost 1/2". It was really, really horrible. So maybe CCI Green Tag just doesn't behave well in her rifle as I had originally thought, or maybe the cold weather just wreaks havoc on it.
I then went through Eley Club, Eley Contact, Eley Target, and SK+ with her rifle. All the Eley Stuff just shot like crap. I haven't really experienced this much since my Tikka T1X shoots everything, some things tighter than others, but nothing that was like shotgun pattern. When I stuck in Eley Club through her rifle, it was shooting 5" groups at 100, and the word "group" is not really a group when it's 5"... Eley Contact and Eley Target did a little better at 2", and then when I stuck in SK+, right off the bat I was sub 1". Now I finally have first hand experience on rifles that really hate certain ammo... Luckily I still have 550 rounds of this SK+ that will be her new ammo for the next few months.
I then went through the same lots of ammo on the Tikka. They all shot more or less the same, even the green tag at around 1.5-2". When I got to Eley Target, it shot it around 1", so I was happy with that, and it was too cold and everything was getting wet to continue going.
I did change my LoP to 3/8" shorter, and that also made my shooting feel a lot better in prone on the Tikka. Don't have to move the elbow at all when cycling the bolt / on the trigger.

2 more boxes ~ $30 to basically give away, done shooting this trash ammo. Same with Eley Club, haven't found anything that likes it. I had a guy at the range today with a brand new CZ 457 precision trainer, beautiful looking rifle. His rifle seemed to like the Eley Club a lot more than CCI SV, so I gave him the extra 2 boxes I had with me... but I still have 6 more boxes of that stuff in the safe.
All this ammo is now going to be lumped into my Offhand Practice Ammo bunch...

I know you know there’s a market for T1 chassis, hence the Bravo. I also know KRG understands the desire to have matching chassis for their 22’s. There’s an awful lot of Whiskeys being fielded on T3’s and those folks generally have affinity for the T1 in my experience.
So...
If I can put a Whiskey forend, grip and stock on a Bravo the. Why not simply sell the T1 Bravo sub frame by itself! Simple solution!
For guys like me that have an old Gen Whiskey its the ultimate solution and hell it also means I’m a customer for a Gen6!

I did best at the longest ranges hanging w/ the some of the top shooters. My closer stuff wasn't as good. My 50 yd. group, an extra stage this month, was just ok and my 100 was just sufficient. And I switched to Center to try and 'game' that stage a little bit. Center X shoots really good for me but not good enough to spend twice+ when the CCI SV is giving me similar scores. Will try some other brands etc. just to see but for the PRS/NRL matches, CCI SV is probably still better than me.
TL/DR, I'm kinda over finding 'the' one right ammo for my rifle. I'll continue to use the CCI SV and occasionally test other brands when I'm bored and focus on MY shooting skills.

I picked a T1X at Cabelas today, and I have a scope on order through Trenier Outdoors. Next, I am trying to decide mbetween a KRG or XLR chassis... leaning towards the XLR Element at the moment.

I've stopped doing 6x5's because it's just not that relevant anymore. The Tikka shoots nearly everything +/- 1/2 an inch. I don't know if you did this month's CoF - https://nrl22.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/NRL22_OCT_COF_SM.pdf
CCI SV would have hit almost everything except -
1/4" at 35 yards, I would give CCI SV a 75% chance to hit all shots, which I ended up missing 1 of my shots on.
On the paper target where you're scoring by bullseye is 1/2", Of the 6 shots (60pts) that were in prone and not on a unstable barrel, I scored 52 of 60 points. I gave up hitting the bullseye where I should've and scored on the 8 ring a few times. My group on paper was about 2/3", his was a touching clover, easily showing 1/4" at 50 yards. If I had shot my Eley Tenex, I know for certain that I'd grouped a whole lot better than CCI SV. Now that was only an 8 point difference. Oh sorry, his = Vudoo in MPA shooting Center-X.
I ended up losing that match by 30 points, ~ 3 shots. So yeh it could make a difference getting back my 1 miss on the 1/4" target at 35 yards, and maybe making up 8 points on the paper target. But if I'm just doing this for fun, does that warrant a 4x cost from CCI SV?
I guess the same can be said, does the MPA $1000 chassis, provide a 2x value over the KRG Bravo? I don't think so. But there were some stages where I think having an arca barricade stop probably could've given me maybe 2 hits that I missed. I'm not playing for $ so is 2-3 hits per comp worth that $600 investment? Or paying 2x the ammo, worth the 18 points I lost?
I ended up with an overall score of 356 / 500. ~7 hits per 10 shot stage. Out of the 15 misses I had, I'd attribute 2 to ammo, and 2 to maybe having a better rifle with some wonky positional stuff, and the rest were just hard / fundamentals.

Though, now that I've said all this stuff... I did just buy a new $325 barrel to eek out what realistically might be 20 more points... was that worth almost the cost of a new rifle? Probably not...

Takes some of the fun out of it. And that's why I actually go. The Center X doesn't group better than CCI SV for me, well not a whole lot better, just more consistently. And I still get a "flyer" w/ Center X every so often. IF it fed reliably, I'd shoot it 100% at matches for its consistency.
Got free box of SK from the match today. Maybe it will be the "magic" bullet.

Haha every day I spend another hour researching barrels and testing ammo I keep asking myself if I should've just gotten a V22. If there was a 70 degree V22, I probably would have bought it right now, but if I'm paying $2000 for that barreled action w/ trigger, then I don't want to feel like I'm missing something and Tikka's action w/ Sterk is just a joy to use.
I wonder why you're having feeding and ejection issues. Is the feeding related to the ejection? Or you sometimes have issues feeing the first round in a magazine? I haven't had a single feed issue in the last 2000 rounds I've shot. I had a bunch of FTE until I took out the magazine well and undid the ejector wire, and bent it a little bit, and also tightened that screw that keeps it in place. I also pushed the mag well back towards the trigger (there's about 1/8" inch of adjustment there). Doing all of that has made my rifle a super joy to use. Not a single FTE in the last 500 rounds since i've done the magazine/ejector tweaks.
I haven't shot CX though. But 1500 rounds of SK+ that fed beautifully.
@Jefe's Dope have you seen the IBI barrel thread? It looks like Paul's IBI is putting up some amazing groups.
Jefe, I stopped looking for the one best ammo for my rifle too. I found one kind that shot well and just bought a bunch of it. I ended up settling on Eley Contact and just use CCI SV for practice. Both are reasonable priced and shoot well enough.
The big reason I see for sticking with one ammo is I know how it performs ballistically. I know my dope without by heart out to 300 yards and I know what it does in the wind. There are more accurate ammos that I have shot out of my rifle but they are twice the price and not twice as accurate. Center X shoots absolutely amazing out of my rifle. That being said one of my worst matches ever was when I tried Center x for a match. I did fantastic at everything inside 100. Everything beyond 100 was horrible though. It was windy and it didn’t perform like my other ammo at distance and totally screwed me up.
Anyway, the moral of the the story is I think it’s best to just pick a variety of ammo that shoots decent in your rifle and stick with it. Learn how that ammo shoots and stick with it. Constantly searching for the magic lot is just chasing your tail. To me it’s kind of like the guys shooting the barrel out on their centerfire rifle chasing the perfect load. I see guys doing it all the time at the range. They shoot 2000 rounds looking for the perfect load. About the time they find it they have to rebarrel their rifle because they shot the barrel out trying to find the perfect load.

When I get my new barrel I'm going to basically do exactly this. I'll go to goodshootinginc and order their sampler pack, do 1 quick day of testing, choose the best lot, and order 5000 rounds of that ammo, and just be done with doing anything else for a year.
The problem I had was buying everything in 500, and then every 500 rounds, I'd go searching for the next 500 to shoot...
Did you do their 10pack center-x? And found one specific lot that worked out? My plan right now is to:
1. Shoot 1 box each of my current Eley Target, Eley Match, Tenex, Club, SK+, SK LRM, Center-X
2. This would be a feeler of just how ammo brand / type work.
3. Take the best performing batch, and do a sampler of it from GoodShootingInc.
4. Hope to find a magic lot, and order 5000 rounds of it.

Possibly allowing the bullet to 'slip' just enough out the front of the feed lips of the magazine. Bullet nose shape? Chamber? Not sure. But I planned on doing a barrel swap since before purchasing. Was gonna shoot the Tikka barrel and if it was stellar, leave it alone. If not, barrel swap. I also thought .22lr had an actual limited barrel life. The More You Know.
I watched two Vudoo owners yesterday have feed issues. One shooter I've seen more than once have feeding issues. Not sure what causes it or if it's shooter error. I didn't do that this this time but have in the past. I did benefit from the test lots before and did order a few bricks of Center-X at that time. That time period has long past and ammo is gone. I would have to say that is a good idea and looks like you are willing to follow through and purchase a large amount of ammo which is a must do in the first place.
I have seen feeding issues with the Vudoo as well but I believe they were all with the MPA chassis. I haven’t seen it happen with the guy using a Manners that shoots with us. The guy shooting the Manners set up also has a lot more experience though. It is entirely possible that the shooters just short cycled the bolt or some other simple error. We only have a few guys shooting Vudoo rifles in our matches though. The CZ 455/457 is still the rifle dominating here for now.
One was in a MPA and one in a Bravo. The Bravo had more issues. I'm not blaming Vudoo, it may be the shooter/user, chassis, mag, etc. But I've seen it happen. I've also seen other Vudoo shooters have zero issues or complaints. And neither the above mentioned shooters complained much or blamed the Vudoo or stated it was a continuing issue. Just makes me think before I put out that kind of money. I really like the Vudoos but I think I like my T1x more. Not that I have any experience w/ the Vudoo I just really like the Tikka action. And a Vudoo is certainly NOT off the table in the future.

Seemed to solve it yesterday but as I stated, it's happened more than once and to more than one Vudoo owner. I'm a bit hesitant to jump into that with the entry price it requires.
I'll let you know how the IBI barrel goes. At the minimum, having a heavier barrel will move the balance point up on our KRG Bravos which should also help with barricade positions, so it'll perfectly just balance right in front of the mag well. You can move the mag well back and see if it helps at all. Can just cycle a bunch of live ammo and see if you notice any improvement.
