Maybe I missed it but what combination are you handloading to get those groups?
Couple of 5 shot groups from mine, from 100yds.
It's a 6.5 CM using 42.4 grn of Reloader 16 and 140 grn ELDMatch.Nice shooting... what caliber and load data?
Maybe I need to back down from 43.0 grains to get those type of groups. It's a 6.5 CM using 42.4 grn of Reloader 16 and 140 grn ELDMatch.
That is some serious bolt fluting. Looks like it is almost to the point of being too much. Any chance you could take a picture of the bolt outside of the rifle? would like to see that fluting better

Bought another today for a price that was crazy good.
My wife says I need help?
Tikka T3X CTR 260rem barrelled action is now cerakoted to OD green.
I will receive Whiskey forend and grip panels later on, those will have M05 camo pattern, so they are same look as it is on my custom T3X.

Now have two T3X, One SS CTR in 6.5 CR and a SS lite also in 6.5. Also got a T1X in a Bravo also.
First rifles ever. Been great to get back into shooting after 30+ years. Got the CTR out to 1000 yrs early in the year.
Barrel gets hot quick. Looking to upgrade. What are some good options? Looking to stay in the same caliber.

Awesome looking setup.
What cerakote color is that?
Or is it just stainless?
More important get them to import lefty stainless CTRs! Say pick one barrel length in 6.5 Creed and 308 and see how many they will sell. They have the lefty rifles. Make them available. So, Monday night, I'm sitting at the bar in this small neighborhood bar & grill about to order dinner with my wife.
This guy walks over from about 6 stools down and asks be about the "Beretta" logo tee shirt I'm wearing.
A conversation ensued about shotguns and hunting, so I showed him a couple of photos of antelope and my Tikka CTR.
He had been to the high fenced property where I am fortunate to hunt on several occasions and knew several of the boys in the property owners family.
So he hands me his business card, this guy is a territory rep for Beretta firearms.
I immediately implored him to have Corporate add more sku's to the 3 Tikka Logo'd gear that Beretta sells.
The cry for More Tikka Hats, Shirts, jackets, etc. for the Tikka end users has been sent !
Hello mate.
Can i come to shoot with you tomorrow![]()
Anytime. I am planning a Scandinavia trip soon so it might be me that visits.
CTR in 6.5CM with the original 24" barrel.
Chassis is KRG Bravo and it has a B&T CAL Gen. 2 bipod, sandback in the rear.
I can do what I want, my groups are half as big when I´m shooting of my range bag.
Shooting from the bipod doesn´t work well for me.
You might want to look this.
Chassis and brake installed.

Thanks! It’s a VG6 GammaMan, this is probably one of the nicest/killer looking rifle. Very simple but on point!
what brake is that?
Reloads? Maybe copper from seating was floating around in the action?View attachment 7262675
Anyone ever seen this? First cleaning.
Yes reloads. I ran multiple patches through and had these copper shreds on almost all of them.Reloads? Maybe copper from seating was floating around in the action?

Surprisingly good for load development. Nothing over an inch with 15 different 3 shot loads and 2 different powders. Not sure if I have figured out how to use range buddy so not sure the group measurements are accurate. How was the shooting?
While I can respect the work it took to accomplish all this I'm happy with my Timney. I also prefer a 2 stage trigger so when I get my next Tikka (which is certainly going to happen) it will get another Timney in it.I suspect that you are correct. I looked at it the the last time that I shortened a pin and I concluded that would likely work. I just didn't want to dive into the trigger and loose a pin or spring and be screwed.
I'd check out what KRG has to offer. They make some fantastic stuff and my Tikka CTR fits into their inlet perfect.I just bought a t3x ctr in 6.5cm. I am looking at the mpa chassis. Is there any problems with them and the Tikka action. If so what do you recommend. I am really wanting to go ahead and build something I am going to be happy with.
Yes cleaned prior, yes chamfered. 100% positive this isn't a reloading issue.Well, it looks like some shavings from the bullet of course.
Did you clean the new barrel before shooting it?
If you didn´t you should do that first.
There always might be some **** in it from the factory.
Cleaning a new gun comes always before shooting in my case.
With rifles I even try to smooth the barrel out with a bit of J.B.´s.
Then the question is, are they scratched from loading or from shooting.
You may pull some dummies when loaded to check that out.
How wide is the inner case mouth in relation to the bullet dia.?
And do you chamfer the case mouth?
I would go that way, checking out the loading side, just because it is easier.
If you don´t get a result there, you might use a bore scope.
On the other hand, as long as your groups look that good ...
Good luck!
