Tyson vs Paul

I really don’t think it was staged per se.
I think Paul backed off after the 4th round when realized Mikes body was cooked. He could have probably came in heavy after that and chose not too. I don’t think NOT executing a man you respect is the same as staging a fight.

The woman’s fight was a good fight.

You just can’t expect that same level of fighting as those girls out of a man that’s almost 60. I get people went in hoping for that, but reality still came.

Tyson did not attack ever, no slip, no combo, no body shots that mattered. A complete shitshow, jake paul just as lame , 5 inch reach advantage and no real follow up to the jab. The women, Sarona(?) and Taylor were the 2 best fighters of the 4 card night i saw. All the down card fights were LAME . I think boxing just shit themselves by this debacle.

I just watched a highlight reel on YouTube. I'm glad I went and loaded ammo instead of watching that shit live.

Jake dancing around with his hands held low quite a bit. I'm not a boxing fan, but that just doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

That was definitely not what I expected after seeing some training videos of Tyson.

I'm glad I didn't pay for that bullshit.

Yep.. That was the highlight of the night. Those two girls were bruiser's and hungry, both had speed, power, and good spontaneous action. Was probably best female box bout I ever seen.
.

if it is staged bullshit...which i think is VERY possible....i will lose some respect for Tyson. that being said, i hope it is legit, and i'd love to see Iron Mike lay him out cold in short order.
I know for a facts it’s staged in order to raise money for Tyson new boxing center to help new young boxers wanting to train.

There is no way the money grubbers in charge were going to let their golden boy get busted up by an old man. From the highlights I saw it looked like Mike could have capitalized a few times, but he looked to stilted, then he just looked tired. Jake and Mike got to make a mint and neither of them took any real damage. I think the biggest fight had to be the promoters convincing Tyson that this loss wouldn’t look bad on his record due to his age. Mostly I think even less of Jake Paul because while he might claim to respect Tyson this whole farce was a disrespect to Tyson’s legacy as one of the best.

Evander Holyfield was sure showing the effects of his career. I’m sure Tyson is dealing with some of what ails him.

Tyson held his own and I think JP held back some.

Paul will feel some of those punches that landed today.

It was respect to a degree. It wasn’t out of the realm of possibility had Tyson landed one Paul would have been out.

Sad in one way to see Tyson now superimposed over Tyson than.

More so when I think personally that he is me and what he has lost physically so have I.

they each got millions for their..............show

I remember when Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ears in '97, I was over at Chip McCormick's house watching it on HBO.

McCormick tried to get me to pay half of the $30.00 Pay-per-view fee because Tyson got disqualified in the 3rd round. He bugged me for days after that but I said no.

We all had high hopes to see some of the old magic that was “iron Mike” (myself included).

Truth is he had no business being in there. Paul showed him respect and carried him to the end after the first round. Tyson posed 0 threat at any time.

Anyone that boxed at any level, or was a boxing fan knew it was coming, we just were hoping to see a glimpse of prime iron mike for a few rounds.

I don't know who the judges say won and it doesn't matter.

Watching the fight on replay just now, I saw JP use Tyson as a heavy bag for 15 of 16 minutes.

Tyson got paid $20M, or $1M for each punch he threw.

Never so disappointed in a fight in my life. Totally staged, start to finish. I have no doubt Tyson could have mopped and waxed the floor with Jake Paul. Neither fought. They both showed up and got paid. I think this was Tyson's farewell to all boxing, including exhibitions. He got the last big retirement paycheck and went home.
