I have a 15X unertl ultra varmint, calibrated head, fch with 1/8 min lee dot. my crosshairs are clocked about 5 deg out of plumb. It tends to make U cant gun. Any help short of sending it off.

If it has a Lee dot that means TK Lee was in there. I would call them up and see what they say. TK Lee 205-913-5222 or in addition to Ackerman you can try Wally Siebert 425-392-3567.
The problem most likely is just a loose lock ring.

Should be able to adjust it yourself, I had to do so on my 8x 1 1/4" Unertl.
The ring at the back end with the small screw in each side is what holds the reticle tube in position, carefully loosen the screws on each side and turn the ring until the reticle is straight- retighten screws.
