I have experience in a union for 35 years.
It is necisary at a large corporation as non union salaried folks are now finding out. (Tough shit)

But now days given the fact that corporations and the unions are both ran by the same Democratic shit asses I don't get a case of chapped ass when thier bashed.

However people bash them without one damn clue because they have a need for some beudro's butt paste and baby powder.

That's just it...they're going to come online and bash on a multi billion dollar private sector industry that through no fault of their own needs to utilize hiring hall bargaining agent employees to fulfill their contracts.
Fact remains that the same person doesn't have the ability to hire one employee for his own private sector business.

^retarded
“Private sector “ that uses the force of gov to get its way and shit like “prevailing wage”

Your organized crime distorts the free market. It along with welfare, .gov “jobs” and other bs is why industry goes off shore and more and more foreign labor is imported

well, i can defend one person that is doing his best to make a living without defending the mechanism behind inflated wages, protection of the incompetent or lazy, support of democrats and all the rest of the bad things associated with labor unions.

I was never a fan of the whole democratic communist thing.
I did however make the best use of a union hiring hall.

No direct experience working in an union myself, but I consult to hospitals across the United States, I can objectively see a distinct difference in hospitals who utilize an unionized workforce vs those who don't. If I ever have a choice, I will never receive care in a hospital that uses a union workforce.

Outside of that, i default to freedom of association. If employees want to associate and elect representation, go for it. But I also find it contradictory when an employee is FORCED to be apart of a union.

worked as a union guy for a long time. seen some bad, but mostly good. i shudder to think of how things would have been if corporate would have run unchecked. seen a shitbird or two through the years, but definately better than non union places i’ve worked at. i’m talking people/employee quality.

most of the folks i knew were conservative, and voted that way. no one gave a fuck what union leadership advised voting wise.

i dont need to call names or belittle anyone. i am sure each of you have your own life experience. you think what you think. i’d caution folks to show a bit more graciousness toward each other though. from what i’ve read here, plenty of ugly and damn little respect.

How much does that usually equate to?
Please sir don't quote me as I'd never only paid a hiring hall fee for I was a card-carrying Teamster when I arrived in Vegas.
I do however quite distinctly remember the hiring hall association fee in the late 80s was $18 per month???
I think it's now $60 a month....all that information is on the web @Teamsters631.org.

So it seems many are not fully understanding the concept of skilled labor as apposed to a generic useless individual with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

And the pissey individuals mad that their salary and benefits don't equal the level of highly skilled workers with 30 years in the trade.

I used to love telling them I was not paid to train them, the plant has a salaried training staff to take care of that.

Then the senior salaried employees got pissey when they figured out they were being replaced 3 for 1 with pimple faced kids regardless of knowledge or skillset. (Should have unionized) ha ha.

What is left is a hollow shell rotting from the inside out.

People in the know are quietly dumping thier stock or just stupid.

Someone asked me when former POTUS clinton was running for reelection if I was voting for my job or guns.
Told him I was voting for my Constitutional Rights specifically the 2nd Amendment he had no idea what I was talking
about. Another union sheep in the flock. Most of the men I worked with from outside linemen to powerhouse shutdown electricians
were mostly conservative and really didn't give a fuck what the fucksticks were preaching in the hall

If a union actually represented it's employees, something would happen. With the simple threat of withholding funds, the left would shut their fucking anti-gun mouths instantly. All it would take is to donate to one single pro-gun, pro-union Republican congressman. Good luck finding that guy.

Politics has shifted to 100% right or 100% left in the last 20 years.

I love how everyone assumes the union is the only way to get training in their field.

I went to a tech school, was credited 3000hrs and still had to earn another 5000 hrs to take my journeyman's test. Another 8000 hours to take the masters. All in the field experience plus text books and tests on them.

Still have to do the same CEU's and maintain the same license to work in the state.

There's idiots in every field. I can easily write them up and fire them without making it political with the union.

SO DO IT....!!!!

Yup, this is in my home town.....well not too far from where I live anyway. Just weeks after these fucks got their union they walked out the door because of "unsafe working conditions". Seriously? You work in a fucking overpriced coffee shop not a fucking munitions factory. Lazy cocksuckers. Unionization was a big plus for this business.
