it amazes me that people still act like being gay is simply a choice some kid made. But then again if it was a choice to be segregated, ostrasized, potentially beaten on the streets just because, ridiculed, and opressed, then im amazed more more people didnt choose to be black in the south in the 50's.

What do people think this is going to do, you think thousands of soldiers are going to start demandimg rainbow colored uniforms now and demand that they hold hands when marching. The military is a job like any other. Failure to cary out job duties as assigned are grounds for removal plain and simple. There are rules regarding sexual herassment and fraterization and those apply to men and woman equally. If you feel this is the down fall of our military or country, one you forgot what your fighting for, and two I hope you are not one of the 40 million or so underinsured people in this country because you have an expensive trip to the ER coming up to have your head removed from your ass. </div></div>

My grandpa was a very racist man and hated the fact that a colored man could fight next to him in Vietnam. Did this change the military and "kill it"
Change is bound to happen, whether good or bad, but something this minuscule and unimportant doesnt even deserve the time of Day. When i join the Military i dont care if the guy next to me fucks his dog, as long as he can do his job, and give his full effort it doesnt matter what he does in his spare time. Most all of the gay people ive talked to arent even attracted to heterosexual men.
So get your head out of your ass and post something worth having a reasonable discussion about.

Im sure that your generation would lynch a kid because he was "gay" or different. A gay soldier isnt going to walk around with a styled uniform and hair gel with painted nails and be terrified to fight.
