I believe that grandfathering is their next move.

Went down to the Capital and supported the VCDL today at the God, Family, and Guns event. If that's the turnout we get for Lobby Day on Jan 20, we're in deep shit. About 100-150 people there. That's not going to cut it.
Great speakers, great info, but come on guys, rain or shine, work or not, you HAVE to show up to make a difference. Myself and a co-worker took off work for a couple hours to go.

Let me start by saying that the 2A Sanctuary initiative is a great idea. It sends out the clear message that if the Left controlling the state wants to enforce their tyrannical laws, they will have to send their own jack booted thugs which will cost them anywhere from money up to lives.
Demonstrating in the capital just to 'make our voices heard' is a loosing proposition IMO. They know what we want, they just don't give a shit because they now have the absolute power. They also know the number of guns and gun owners. They are confident, by precedent in CA, MA, NJ, NY, that we will cower and lick their boots.
Forget the idea of opening the eyes of people who did not vote or do not even know what's going on. We do not have the millionaires sponsoring busing of activists and any warm body they can find. Most of us have to work. Any turnout will be pathetic compared to the 'million moms' that the Left uses for their agenda. They also control the media and even if you get a great turnout, nobody in the rest of the state/country will ever know.
Even if you can, through some crazy magic, sway the public opinion, it's going to be years until the next election.
If you want to demonstrate, you should make a credible statement that passing these laws will cause significant pain for them and their supporters. If you need a playbook, google gilets jaunes.
These tyrants know that they won by appealing to emotions, that facts are not in their favor. Fear is a very powerful emotion. It can also be used against them as VCDL did with the Sanctuaries.

For a rainy Monday I am surprised it was as many as it was.

Just the other day I was in a gun shop where one of the workers told me what he's been hearing.
He said people are afraid that some groups are going to instigate violence at these rallys, therefore he isn't going.
We have to get people inspired in more than just their counties. They have to be reminded constantly of what we are up against.
We should be putting up flyers, posting videos, calling friends, notifying our brothers on the Hide and other social media.

I thought the same thing. As I scanned the crowd repeatedly, I couldn’t find a single person that caused me any concern. Not a single protester either.
