Most newsmedia outlets do very little actual "reporting", and get the bulk of their stories from the Associated Press. The problem with AP (or, one of the many problems with them) is that their content typically skews to the left-ward worldview. Heaven forbid these reporters actually do some research and interview involved people on both sides of an issue....THAT might resemble ACTUAL journalism. It's much easier and quicker for them to just copy & paste AP's content into their on-air copy and read it verbatim. That's why the wording on a particular story from different media outlets is the same.

The reporting I keep hearing and seeing in Richmond is that it's "Several" counties and that it's all about Assault Rifles and High Capacity magazines for those. NO ONE, including a number of 2A websites are saying ANYTHING about the fact that it says "CENTERFIRE PISTOLS" as well. No threaded barrels on a pistol, anything with a removeable magazine, even in a pistol, is illegal, unless I'm misremembering what I read a couple months ago.

Do you think it will pass? What will people do? Actually turn their guns in? Or just get caught with them one by one?

Or will people actually take a stand for once?

I believe instituting Martial Law without a natural disaster (or any other really good reason) would trigger a conflict in this particular situation.

again, not trying to understate the various POS proposed bills, but 'regular' handguns, where removable mags go into the grips (glock 17, 1911, etc etc etc), aren't being outlawed in these POS bills, other than no threaded barrels allowed. with the 'evil features' clauses, these POS bills are going after AR pistols and the like.

Hell, post copies of the actual bills, the Gov/AG statements, the updated VCDL map, etc. post them everywhere, educate people far and wide, when more people start asking questions then non-soros-sucking media outlets will start reporting. After all, it isn't about news, they want to sell airtime.
Who knows, we may find out several states have similar sneaky crap getting pushed through. If we can get organized in multiple states and get sanctuary counties in place all over the country it will send a loud message now, so that perhaps Varget won't have to carry our message later.

I already know he is very verbal about defending our Constitution , but want to make sure he is aware of the situation in Virginia . He very likely will consider taking steps ahead of time if I know him as well as I believe I do .
