whenever you get a drivers license, you do a NICS check and if you are a felon a mark gets put on the back of the DL.

when you buy a gun, from a dealer or private, it is law to check for the prohibited possessor mark. If it isn’t there, you pay the money and walk out with the gun. No paperwork, no 4473.

now they would never go for this because they really like the back door registration that is accomplished by that 4473.

I particularly like this idea because it does what they are requesting by having a background check done one everyone, not just gun owners, and also on the illegals that are now getting driver licenses. And most importantly deletes any chance of a defacto registry.

I keep telling anyone that will listen, they are going to pass every law they have proposed. People keep telling me that I'm nuts, that'll never happen. The fight the people have waged is the largest fight against governmental overreach I've ever seen in my lifetime. It's impressive as hell. It's impressive to see 1000's of people show up to meetings that normally had 20 people. It's impressive to see 100's and 100's of people stand in the cold rain for hours just to hear the outcome from some board of supervisor meetings. It's impressive to me that no matter how short of notice given, 1000's of people show to, trying to hold the representatives accountable. It really does give you faith that we can accomplish anything if we stand together.

Then you get kicked square in the nuts when they ignore every single one of you.

For everyone one anti-gun person showing up, 200-300 2A Freedom Fighters show up, yet are going to be ignored.

I suspect there will be more than 10,000 people on the Lobby Day on the 20th and I suspect it won't change one single vote or the wording on one single bill. As Saslaw shows, they just don't give a shit what we do or what we think.

Attempts at enforcement will mean casualties on both sides - while the politicians hide behind their security details. They are doing this because they want to, and because they think they can.....regardless of cost in human lives. That’s exactly why the current tactics will never work. Someone, some group is going to have to forcibly remove these people from office. In reality, it should be their peers or some version of LE, under what law I don’t know but that would be the most peaceable way.
