Varget IN STOCK ANYWHERE?

It seems to pop up every month or so and several places will get it in stock and sell out in minutes. I missed it every time, thought I got it at cabelas once but they oversold. I got very lucky and a very nice local member sold me the 10lbs he had, I owe him drinks!

He sold me my M40X commemorative. He listed it $300 over book. I figured with so few available, I was just gonna have to bite the bullet and pay the price.

Go to purchase and the asshole wanted to charge me an additional $45 for the gold coin that comes with it.

I pointed at the Scout Sniper Assoc. logo on the sleeve and then on the coin and asked him if I looked like a fucking idiot. He just grinned and was like "you got me".

I won't buy from that sheister ever again.

He is incredibly high on all his shit. I guess he is trying to pay for his new shop by taking advantage of us..

If your wally world sells it watch there. My local one had 5 pounds on the shelf. It was gone the next day. But I seem to be seeing it on the shelf in walmarts quite often

Wish Walmart sold powder in NJ......

From what I understand...there are FEW dealers even stocking powder in Jersey. Shot some SC's with a guy from N. Jersey a few months back. He was driving back home after hitting every gun shop he could find on his way out and back to Montana. he had all sorts of bullets, powder and primers in the trunk.

I'm an Ex Jersey guy we talked about the stores where I USED to get components; Rays in N. Plainfield, Harry's on Rt 130 and Effingers in Bound Brook. Rays is GONE. And apparently components tough to find at all. Many shops run out of the game by over zealous Fire Marshall's and well meaning but ridiculous local Ordinances.

NJ is the gigantic suck. I only know of three sources in State. My friends and I are so frustrated, we are willing to drive 100+ miles out of state just to find powder or primers. Problem is, we often face the "only buy 1 pound of powder, 1 box of primers, 1 box of .22" per guy speech. I get the reason why the quantity limitation and often plead our case. Sometimes they have mercy and give us two, but good luck finding any of that in stock as well. Recently, I complained to my wife about it all and she said, "I thought you bought all that equipment and tools so that you can shoot." LOL, to marry a woman with quick wit.

As far as Ammo, we are limited to one box per man per day when it's in stock. Many gun dealers will not sell ammo because they want to keep it for new gun purchases and indoor ranges hold it for those renting ports/club members..... Don't laugh, we use the gun range to practice archery and one guy is giving serious consideration to purchasing a flint lock.

I'm still on back order from the winter with online sites. I have a feeling many on this forum who live elsewhere thinking this:

Too bad this wasn't 2-3 years ago. I no longer drive back to NJ for visits. I fly now...far easier, cheaper, etc. OR I'd load up the SUV and bring yous guys out some components. I used to bring ammo out for a few guys all the time....years back.
Any trap clubs that sell powder??Then again all they'd have would be compatible with pistol. I can relate to your plight.

Even back when Ray's was open....nothing was cheap. I used to get a big components order together with a few other guys and one of them drove out to Williamsport PA for the 1K Matches...and some vendor would show up or he stopped at a wholesaler...forget the deal now...But we used to buy a big order every year.

Hang in there....at least you have the heaviest Governor! And there's all that good pizza too.

I got an 8 pound jug from Cabelas about a month or so ago.

I got two pounds from a Walmart in SW VA last weekend. There was one left.

I like 3rd Generation, as you can see how much they have. If they are under 50 pounds or so, it is not worth posting, as it will be gone before the posts gets out.

I received 48 lbs of Varget yesterday from Gamaliel shooters supply. Just get your order in to a few places that will take a back order and keep searching in the meantime. Also received 16 lbs of H4350 last week from Gamaliel, so you know Hodgen is making it as fast as they can. I knew the shortage was going to be bad 9 months ago when I placed my order, so I made it a big one.

Guys forgive the post here, but I'm sparingly using what Vihtavuori N570 I have left.
Please help, I have many popular brands including Varget that I could trade for or buy the N570 outright. Pm anytime, and thanks!!!!
BTW I received 8 lb Varget containers from Gamaliels and Powder Valley within the last month, so yes, 8# jugs have recently shown theirselves.

4 venders had 8 lbers at last Atlanta gun show. And lots of them compared to years past. Most brands avail. Not all numbers but lots of powder. Stick powder was up to $229 a jug. Ball a little less. Bullseye was $169 I think. I passed on it. Did pick up a 8lber of Solo1000 for 120 OTD! Cheaper than anywhere even online before HazMat and shipping. I figure a little longer and it will be back as close to nornal as its ever gonna get.
