There is no doubt in my lifetime guns will not disappear. However, as we die off, the next generation is a little less interested in fighting for it. 2-3 generations from now, will there still people people like us fighting for it, or will they have turned their guns over for a promise of a better future?
That's when the problem arises for the US. One thing you'll also never see in my lifetime is a Russian or Chinese invasion on US soil. If you think they aren't terrified of 200,000,000 guns, you're wrong. If you think they wouldn't love to hack into a list that has all those gun owners addresses and inventory, I'd disagree with you strongly. It would be like them winning the lottery.

People try to make politics and by association the "hot button topics of the day" into binary arguments. It's black and white. You either believe in climate change or not. For gun control or not. For gay marriage or not. You are on Team 'A' or 'B', there's no in between.
By making these topics binary, they are successfully dividing and conquering the country. This tactic stokes emotion and throws fuel on an already incendiary fire.
By allowing ourselves to be wrapped up into these binary arguments we are just playing into their hands.
The world isn't binary. We need to use critical thinking, and hold our politicians accountable. No matter what "side" they are playing for.

As a constituent, I urge you to OPPOSE any more gun control, especially Red Flag laws, gun, magazine, or suppressor bans of any sort, weakening state firearms preemption laws, and Universal Backgro...

Don't want to sideline this thread, so I'll leave this course of talk with this..
Within the Parable of the fig tree there is a countdown given by Jesus himself. When the state of Israel was formed back where it is, that started a countdown to when all time is called to an end. It is a generational time clock centered on the boomers.
The global tax thing is written in the book of Daniel which paints a framework for how the entire enchilada goes down.
It's not the end, just the end of lies and bullshit that we find ourselves immersed in.
I just love how something can be spelled out in crayon, from multiple primary sources, in multiple ways, yet the vast majority of people still stammer on about either not understanding the thing and demanding more proof. Same lot that overstate the need for more critical thinking and the like.
Well, if you are referring to the above, then without sidelining the thread too much, people have been claiming the end of time is upon us, literally since the beginning of time.
Not the end of time..the end of the Republic of The United States of America. It has reached unbelievable heights and has made the most prosperous and wonderful Republic since the days of Rome at it's height. But the forces against US have learned well how to take what we have earned and there is little precedent for what comes in the next 50 years.
Capitalism built the US and hard working, God Fearing people built this prosperity one brick at a time. And that is over moving forward...there are new rules and US old folks are not with what is/will happen. It's not gonna "roll back" and shit *will* change and those who resist will be run over. Technology will replace the "don't work - don't eat" and from this point forward there will only be less jobs, not more. The Machines and Technology are making products so cheap that "working man" will be no more. The machines *will* do it all soon and everyone who built a world where the unemployed don't get to eat will watch their kids and grand kids literally starve.
It's changing but the Right to Keep and Bear *must* be preserved as it is the Right of every living creature to defend itself. It is as essential as breathing. I personally believe we can have Social Engineering and Progressive thinking, machines doing the work, and food, housing, education, medicine, and clothing for everyone and *still* keep our firearms/weapons. We *can* have it all but not if we all Hate. Each. Others. Guts.
It's gonna change and the past is gone never to return. There is little precedent for what comes next but we must maintain the Right to self defense no matter what. My message is join with yer neighbor and find a Way. Save the fucking Hate for the Oligarchy, power mongers, politicians, and those who seek to subjugate US and strangle US with out own Hate.
Ease on up on the neighbor now for his political views are a matter of perspective. We all got better fish to fry.

Guzman is especially good target. She represents a 'changing to purple' county - Fauquier - that is currently red. In tens years, it will be blue, but it is red right now, and as such, she is vulnerable and a relatively new Delegate. The county is a 2A Sanctuary after they held a meeting where they had the biggest attendance since the Civil War (yes, the one that occurred in the 1860s). I'm sure Delegate Guzman knows this and is feeling the heat.
Beyond Red Flag, another really bad potential law is the House Bill that allows counties to make their own 'more restrictive' firearms laws. This means residence of the Old Dominion will have not 1 set of State Laws to worry about but 100+. It also means that citizens in the 'commie/nazi' counties/cities (Arlington, Alexandria, Loundon, Fairfax, Richmond, Suffolk and a few others) will potentially face very strict laws outlawing possession and training, while the rest of the Commonwealth is spared that crap. This is certainly a cruel metastasis of the Northam/Bloomberg tyranny.
Thats why several countries have refused to join the world monetary system. Cuba, Nork, Iran. Slowly they are all being brought to their knees. Play our game by our rules or we will destroy you.

Everytown announced today their plans to spend $60 million in 2020 on pro gun control candidates. That is 40x more than was spent in VA in 2019 and apparently double what was spent by Everytown in 2018. This article specifically references them targeting PA, NC, AZ, and CO.

I hear you and this is why we all must be united to make the fight impossible. This is not VA's fight we are just the current battleground. Unfortunately we were asleep at the wheel and complacent while we allowed our brothers and sisters in states like CA, NY etc. fall with excuses about it being their fault. It some ways maybe it was, but make no mistake this a coordinated attack against our individual liberties orchestrated by a few of the elite. We must be united to stop this or we will all fall.
Agreed. Counties in NC are declaring themselves 2A sanctuaries, and now we have seen the playbook. I just wish I still lived in Alabama so I could really see them fail.

well, given that only a couple of counties AREN'T 2a sanctuaries, i'd think and hope there are way more than just 4 that won't vote for an AWB ban.

Doubt that's the case. These laws don't pertain to them. They can continue to own whatever they ban for the common man.
If anything, it's their gravy train from being in office that they don't want to lose.
As far as I know, they (dems) are not excluded from this law, only LEO agencies and such...
In the same way, I am positive that their (dems) adult children are not excluded.
Dems may not be so eager to turn their sons and daughters into felons...
Just an idea because so far the large crowds haven't deterred them very much from passing a ton of gun control bills.
Right now, it is 4, and that's amazing because we only need 2.
Dems have been beyond stubborn to budge as Bloomberg money feels real good in their pockets.

So according to Del Levine, all rifles that are fired from the shoulder are NOT assault weapons, while those fired only from the hip are assault weapons. He is on the record here. I'm OK with that ban. Take all those assault weapons and leave us our shoulder-fired stuff.
I'm hearing the same thing from my lobbyist buddy - 4 Dem Senators are against outlawing possession of semi autos. 4 may not sound like much, but we only have 40 Senators and Dems hold 21 of those. So 4 is 20% of their ranks. And remember, the Dems have 10 or so Senators from the 'commie/nazi' counties (Arlington, Fairfax, Loundon, Alexandria) and these folks will vote for outlawing possession of ANY firearm, not just semis. This means there are really only 10 or so Dem Senators that we can hope to influence - so 4 is not a bad amount of this group.

With gun control looming... Virginians bought ~74,000 guns in December of 2019.
I can attest to this I was at greentop (probably largest firearms retailer in VA) one weekend in December. They sold an entire pallet of lower tier ar15s in minutes, and not just the cheaper stuff they sold basically every single Daniel defense rifle/pistol they had (saw one guy buy 3).
