Who makes a 50 moa base? Even 40s are rare (few make them, finding them readily available is another matter).

I'm sure Murphy Precision can make you a custom one quick. An upstanding guy. I'm just a happy customer. https://www.murphyprecision.com/Who makes a 50 moa base? Even 40s are rare (few make them, finding them readily available is another matter).
A 5-25 if the glass and tracking are decent is more than enough for a 6.5 CM. Having owned Vipers in the past, I'm just leery of Vortex lower tier scopes. Mine were 1st gen, but I ended up getting rid of a 2.5-10 and a 6.5-20. The glass and features just weren't great. I hope they've made huge improvements with this SE and the PST Gen 2s. I don't know from experience. All the Razors I've looked at were fantastic, but the Vipers I had didn't make me want to invest in them.
It does sound from early adopters however that the SE is a great buy for the money, as long as reliability holds.

I guess what I meant to say was a tracking test on paper past 5 mil.
Anybody had one on something with a little higher recoil yet? WM, SAUM, etc
Edit: For rings, I have used Steiner H series rings on a PST2, been good so far. $90ish on Optics Planet iirc for the 30mm
I don't see anything other than 30mm on their site. Do they make 34mm?

I don't think I'd trust it on a scar.quick ???.....would you guys mount one of these temporarily on a SCAR 20S? (im still undecided on my high $$$ optic)
These look like a great buy! Spoke with Graham at Vortex earlier today... excerpt from convo:
"The Viper PST Gen II will be superior optically. The new Strike Eagle 5-25x56 will be between the Diamondback line and the Viper line"
Didn't say just HOW close the SE is to either of the other scopes, but definitely not Viper quality glass.
Like some others have said.. try to find a LE/MIL/VET discount. I pulled one for $480 out the door. Figure at that price I could probably sell it at cost if I don't feel the need to keep it. It's still in "pre order" status, but should hopefully have it in hand soon.![]()
I got mine from Sport Optics... In hand for under 480.00.Where did you get your LE/MIL/VET discount? I qualify and for that price I'm in.
ThanksI got mine from Sport Optics... In hand for under 480.00.
I called them and emailed the rep as copy of my DD 214 and that's it. They also had PMR rings on sale for less than expert voice so I saved a few more bucks there as well
how about FF? or is it just MIL,VET,LEO.

Wait, so sport optics does the discount for former military? I thought it was just for active military.I called them and emailed the rep as copy of my DD 214 and that's it. They also had PMR rings on sale for less than expert voice so I saved a few more bucks there as well
I have the same question but I am running a 20 MOA base. What ring height is everyone running? I’ll have a 700 with a m24 profile.
I get no barrel relief on my RPR so I had to run an AR style Mount. I used the highest UTG made and it works great. If the objective were any bigger, I might have issues.I have the same question but I am running a 20 MOA base.
My questions is, for the price can you do better?for the price im not complaining![]()
