This is the new Crescent Impact that's part of the Gen 2 Fire Control. I did not invent this, but I adapted the concept to the Vudoo system as part of all the things that make up the Gen 2 Fire Control. As you can see, I'm no longer striking across the case rim, but inside it. Data indicates more consistent ignition based on ES within the same lot. The testing was performed in the same barreled action, just swapping one Gen 2 Fire Control that struck across the rim for a Gen 2 Fire Control with this new (for us) Crescent Impact.

We’re in the process of publishing everything to the site, so in the meantime, call the shop. We have quality a few five round mags going through finish and available in a matter of days.

Damnit, I started off looking for a Tikka or CZ and Im going to end up with a Vudoo. Im still not clear after going back and reading this thread... Are there changes to the V-22 coming, or is it just with the new models being released? (Im considering either the Apparition / KRG Bravo or a Barreled action to go in an ORYX)
I have a T1X in a Bravo stock, 2 CZ457 one in a mannors stock and the MTR in a Boyds stock and 2 Vudoo's. You making the best decision you can make

Already have 2 bricks of Center-X, TriggerTech Diamond, scope and a chassis I can put it in. May not be configured the same in 6 months , but I'll be able to shoot it.

I have been chewing on that concept for a few years now. I have an idea in mind that may be cool to test out but it would be a bitch to manufacture (this is coming from a simple minded Diesel engine mechanic with all of 0.00 years of manufacturing experience...). But my idea is to have a 4 pronged firing pin, basically like a spanner socket:
Then you could start playing with how it is clocked for the best ignition. Personally I think clocking it so it impacts the rim at 2, 5, 7, 10 o’clock would give the best ignition (like how this socket in the picture is positioned). I have never been a fan of 12 o’clock ignition because your igniting over top of the powder and potentially the primer is starting the unseating of the bullet before the powder burn starts to build enough pressure to move the bullet. So the bullet starts and stops and then starts again.
But what do I know, I just like how rimfires smell when you shoot them. This is the crap that I think about when I am on the trainer for hours a day...

That candle only burns so long. We all get so wrapped up in things at times to forget about our own well-being. Sometimes the most difficult time is realizing when it is happening. Gotta take care of u sometimes my friend for u and your family. Besides we need u strong to keep us on the competitive edge of competition with your products
For those that have a BnA tacsport pro 2 stage on their V22, what sear height works best? I got one incoming to try and I want to make sure I use the right sear height. Thanks!
Sounds like you need to take some time for self and family. Doesnt help anybody if you get burnt out.
I assume you are discussing centerfire rimmed vs. rimless....
Rimmed cases headspace on the rim.
Rimless bottleneck cases headspace on the centerline of the shoulder.
Rimless straight sided cases headspace on the casemouth.
Rimless cases also feed and stack better in a box style magazine.
Don't know of a big advantage either way on priming.

Used to be "cheap" to shoot. Still not expensive but nothing like the days of Wolf MT for ~$15 a brick.
But from a factory ammo perspective it's still cheap to shoot volume with a 22lr vs any other centerfire.
The report is minimal
Recoil is zero
Barrel life is like forever

ES/SD still an issue even with premium ammo
BC=poop (in the .15's typically)
Most (if not all?) match ammo is loaded subsonic so trajectory is very rainbow requiring lot's of MOA from rails, rings, and optics to shoot extended distances.
Centerfire is often considered more consistent and reliable
with meticulous handloads ES/SD's can get into the single digits
Bullet selection can be far better and BC's much better as well
Cons
Cost to shoot is typically more (depends on what your shooting, cast bullets can be made to shoot quite well)
Most centerfire cartridges are going to be louder, may have recoil depending on the cartridge your shooting, they can heat up barrels which depending on the volume of shooting can require you to sideline the gun to cool.
Barrel life is going to be subjective to the cartridge being run.

You could argue the low speed and BC of rimfire are advantages for some applications. It’s hard to do ELR shooting at 3-400 yards with centerfire.
I second that. Makes ELR possible in places that are limited on space. Great way to learn how to dope the wind as well. I used to avoid a 22 when the wind was blowing but now I love to shoot in the wind to hone my wind calling ability.
Should definitely shoot when winding it’s fun and challenging. Last weekend we had a match with wifnds sustained at 15-25mph.
after the match we wanted to see what it would take to hit at 450.
this was what eventually made contact with steel.

Ok decided on the V-22. Im stuck on the following few things:
1. KRG Bravo or ORYX Chassis? - I would prefer to order a complete, ready to go rifle from Vudoo but they have yet to build on an ORYX Chassis so it would require them to look into it (according to the email I just received) . The long term goal would be to have a V-22 and a centerfire rifle in the same stock chassis setup
2. Barrel Profile? I think I want 18-20", but not sure between the Kukri or the MTU
3. Trigger? Is the Timney 2-stage a good compromise between adjustability and price? (I have typically preferred 2-stage triggers in the pas when I shot NRA Highpower service rifles, but Ive never shot a Timney 700 2-stage)

Well I can speak for the Bravo and 18“ MTU barrel. I have never even seen the oryx up close so I can’t comment on it. I have handled a couple Kukri profile barreled rifles. I absolutely love the bravo chassis. Have 3 BA’s wearing the bravo. Its really hard to beat for the price. I went with the MTU barrel for the extra weight because I wanted to use an 18”. My suggestion to you would be to call up to Vudoo and talk to them. Tell them what you are wanting out of the gun and they can make a suggestion. I have never worked with a company as helpful as these guys are. They can answer all your questions and make sure you get a rifle that fits your needs. You will not regret the decision to buy a Vudoo!
No sir it’s not like that at all at Vudoo. It took me almost a year to put together the funds to buy my Vudoo. In that year period I called or emailed multiple times to make sure I had all the info I needed to make the best decision for my build. It’s a great bunch of folks that are eager to answer your questions. You won’t find many companies that has customer service like VGW.
I in the past (17 years ago) shot a few matches a year and life and all got in the way.. I saw these rifles pop up on the radar about 18mo ago, and have been saving until November last year. I work for an airline so my wife and I decided to fly out there and order my rifle in person and all I can say is that when you do order, I personally have never seen a company that displays the patients and takes the time to place the items that will make up your gun in your hands and explain what does what and how the system works. At no time did anyone make me feel stupid for asking a seemingly simple question. The customer service and care that Vudoo displays is second to none. You can buy with confidence and they will set you up for sure.
I have the KRG bravo chassis, with a 22” MTU barrel, with the trigger tech diamond. I chose this stock because I have my centerfire rifle in the same chassis and wanted them both to function basically the same. For the money the Bravo chassis is extremely hard to beat with all of its modular features you can buy or take advantage of.
The vudoo is my favorite gun of my lifetime and I have been an avid gun nut since I was a small kid, as well as my father, I still own many rifles and have about 8 customs still today and the vudoo edges out all of them.
buy once, cry once, but as soon as you shoot your first group with your vudoo you’ll be smiling like a fool and anyone else that runs it will do the same. One piece of advice don’t let your wife or girl friend shoot it because you’ll then be trying to figure out your next purchase.
I've been wanting to drop into their shop on one of my overnights. Did you fly into LAS or SLC?
we flew into SGU from DFW, we stayed at the hillside or hilltop hotel and checked out southern Utah for a couple days. It’s a beautiful area with the mountains and rock formations and all and speaking with Greg he was telling me about these shooting community areas that folks have set up in the desert, man I’m super jealous.. I thought Texas had some long shots but I think these Utah guys have Texas beat in good spots to take a long shot
took me a year to pull the trigger. I've had my vudoo exactly one week today, MPA chassis, (3rd one) my wife has decided she wants to shoot now. Will b ordering my second vudoo barreled action next week it looks like
A question guys, I shoot benchrest, and have been thinking about a Vudoo barreled action but need a benchrest stock or chassis system. Can you recommend one for the Vudoo for benchrest shooting?

there is a true BR gun coming, now if you want to do both positional shooting and BR I would think the foundation stock or the carbon stock they have would work well . On a more budget friendly side the grayboe ridgeback actually has a 3” flat foreend so it would also work well. The BR gun will be single shot, I am convinced that my 22” MTU barrel will compete in BR matches, so I will start that in April personally.
If BR is all your gonna do, I would personally wait because it’s going to be a extremely accurate rifle with the absolute best components..

I’d think any of the usual benchrest stocks would work. McMillan, Kelbly’s, many smaller specialty houses. I’m trying to order a Scoville in anticipation of the V-22S.
edit: I’m sure the Grayboe Ridgeback is a fine stock but it’s definitely going to be useless for benchrest. It has a hooked rear and a 2.5 inch foreend that is definitely not flat, looking at the website.

man I held the grayboe in my hands and I almost got it over matching my other rifle because the forearm is flat.. since the 22 has no recoilthe flat on the butt will sit in a bag nicely even though you have the j hook notch.. but your right it’s not a dedicated BR stock and is totally different than a BR stock..

I agree with your comment on the Grayboe Ridgeback for a RFBR application. I own a V-22 with the Ridgeback as well as a 2500XS in a TM-Stock. I shoot both in a Greenlaw Machine front rest and a Holeshot mechanical rear rest. The 2500 sits solid and low in the rest while the V-22 sits high and lacks the necessary stability.
We are ordering McMillan XIT's stocks for our New V22S's! In 2016 when we started shooting 22lr prs style shooting I pretty much never thought of owning a crazy ass 22lr that cost as much as Vudoo! Well 4 of them later and zero regrets! We are going to be using the new BR action for Smallbore F-class!
I'm really interested in the new Vudoo single shot BR action. Not aware of any .22RF BR matches in this end of the state, but feel it'd be entertaining & educational to work with such an action and compare the results to what I've had with precision repeaters, from Stiller 2500XR to 40X & XB, to several V22 repeaters. My background in mid & LR prone high power makes me want to try a good single shot action in F-Class, even if there are no BR matches around. What better excuse is there to buy another Vudoo action?
Years ago, I traded for a used Stolle Panda in 6 PPC. It had a Jewell 2oz BR trigger, Leupold 36x BR scope, and a 20.6" Shilen LV bbl, all in a Six Enterprises BR stock. I never shot a match with it, but 100yd accuracy was pretty impressive, at least to me. The only organized & sanctioned BR match I've ever shot was the Colorado State Champs 1000yd BR match at Byers in June of 2007. Didn't have a LR BR rifle, so shot my Nesika K Palma rifle with a Leupold 6.5-20x40 scope & 30" 6 Dasher bbl in medium Palma contour. Managed to shoot the small 5rd group of the day in the light gun match with a 4.725" that scored 48-2x - nothing compared to some of the groups & scores I've seen online by more experienced 1000yd BR shooters, but I was kinda pleased with it.

Learn something every day, is like to see how you set up on the bench if you have a pic, I’m planning to use my bravo chassis at some local BR matches, I’d just like some ideas on how to set up the bench. I have a custom windage rest and just the donut bag with the bald eagle short eared sand bag..
recommendations on a "lightweight" stock for the vudoo. Mine is sitting in a MPA chassis and with the NF sitting atop it, weighs in at 15lb 2oz. As i mentioned my wife wants one for herself, but says the weight of mine for any non support NFL22 shooting stages , is to much for her. Any suggestions? thanks
I would like to measure the accuracy of my rifles with the optimal support. However, none have a benchrest stock although one has a MPA chassis. To me optimal support means accurate, stable pointing and only displacement and vibration but no rotation when a shot is fired. In nautical/aeronautical terms neither pitching nor yawing of the barrel.
My original concept was a mechanical front rest and a heavy bag with super slick material for the rear support. I choose a Seb Neo because of the adjustable width of the side bags and the ease of pointing. I was going to purchase an Edgewood or Protektor for the rear bag. Now I wonder if there is something better for the rear support if the stock is a Manners T4, Manners PRS1, GRS Sporter or an MPA Competition chassis. Perhaps a rear mechanical rest?
Any suggestions/recommendations would be most appreciated.
