turn reduce the risk of dropping a track ? Covered the retreat of his homies

I swear I can never fathom the mentality (stupidity?) of these people. Here we see a tank driver identify a car as an explosive threat, and he's convinced enough about it to run it over and smash it flat with the occupants still inside (I think?). Now I ask you, how many of you are going to stand around 10-25 yards away and hang out while this goes down? I mean, I've only seen this stuff on video, but it happens there in real life, and they "ought" to know what happens when one of these things goes off. But instead of taking cover, they're walking around and gawking, etc. like it's just someone getting a parking ticket. Looks like some of them probably got wiped out when it went off, too.

I look at it like trying to teach children not to stand in the aisle while others try to walk by.
Or,
move out of the road, a car is coming.
Some kids get it right away, some get to 40 and still have their heads up their assess.
Some people have zero sense of danger

I operate bull dozers and track hoes alot. Any tracked machine to be driven on road must have road pads installed on the grousers(track pads). Im assuming the tank might have had some sort of additional grouser padding so not to destroy the asphalt roads. Busting a hard u turn puts a TON of stress on the grousers and grouser pads if the machine is in a high traction position which likely could put alot of unneeded wear on the pads....i know nothing of tanks but the undercarriages cant be too awful different from caterpillar crawlers machines.
