Maggie’s What's Your View II

I have been told that LA, Vegas and San Francisco are none negotiable. Seeing as how we would fly in to LA I am thinking LA, Vegas, side trip back to AZ, Salt Lake City, Seattle area, Portland, Sacramento / San Francisco, back to LA. Would 3 -4 weeks be too rushed to cover that area by road?
I will send you a PM later after work. October is an awesome time. AZ and Vegas won't be 120 in the shade. Up north might be little cool in the morning my favorite time of the Year.

Today is my oldest daughter's 24th birthday.
Bought her a scooter on Sunday and went helmet shopping today.
After that we went to First Choice BBQ. Her request...

Damn buddy, outside of a stop or two on that itinerary you're going to be largely amongst the whacko leftists we bitch about here. Just don't judge "Americans" by the loons you encounter on the left coast.

I have an Aussie friend who's over for about 6 months seeing family in Canada and then traveling the States. His plan is to hit as many NASCAR races as possible on his way down to Texas. I gave him a similar warning about the Northeast.

Was that warning info about "loons"referring to 1J or San Fran / LA???

You bunch of damn Loons.

@barneybdb , again, thoughts and prayers to you and yours. May she rest in peace and smile down upon you all.

You're gonna have a great trip and I hope you get to actually relax and enjoy it to it's fullest. I'm gonna PM ya my number in case we might be able to meet up in either Seattle area or Portland area. I'd love nothing more than to share a Beer with ya !!! And is there any chance ya can bring some of that Platypus Jerky? I hear it's pretty good. ;)

You need to be very careful getting jerked by a Platypus, they are actually venomous, plus customs / quarantine may give me a hard time. Will see if I can bring some Kangaroo jerky for you, that is actually quite good. Thanks for the kind thoughts and the laughs lately, much appreciated. We have just finished making the funeral arrangements and clearing out her room at the nursing home. Our place is starting to fill up with relatives so I will probably not be around much for a couple of days (this reply has taken me 2 hours so far) Will be in touch one we sort out dates to arrange sharing some brews.

View of our local range today. We’ve been inundated with heavy rains this past week, and with the range being located in a flood plain you can see the result. I’m a life member there to support the shooting sports, but never use it as I am able to shoot at home. I’ve witnessed it as high as the the second course of shingles in years past. Berms at 25,50, 100, 200, and 340.

That stinks. Of course you will be getting your “full range” back pretty soon.

My dad was telling me 3-4 hrs west of you last weekend they got 5” of rain between Friday and Saturday night. Slowed down but had not stopped.
Now it looks like ya’ll will be getting a dry spell.
Needs to dry up a bit, my buddy’s are about to start chopping corn and are getting ready for beans to come in before you know it.

I will, and looking forward to it. I’ve had ONE target available (765 yards) this summer, but have kind of gotten bored with it. Kept me from going stir crazy though. I imagine they will start chopping here this week once it dries out.

A fancy 22 and small targets helps a guys out in times like these. When you can't reach way out there with a bigger gun; closer with a smaller one will do the same

Nothing wrong with being a whore Geno.

Good on you for admitting it!

With 3 kids 5, 6, and 7, grad school coming up, and shooting not being a quick foray like some of you who shoot at home, its harder for me to justify. If I lived in a place I could shoot on my property I wouldnt hesitate.

So a thing I made up one day.
Short glass, 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream, 1 shot of TX wiskey, splash of cola.

People that have not tried it claim blastfamy, the ones that have ask for another.

Tnichols pictures of the plane we would like pictures please

I can’t afford a warbird or anything rare so a fully restored ‘47 C140 will have to do. It will never sit on the show line in Oshkosh, but it’s a good daily driver. Bought it laying wrong side up on a runway back in the mid 90’s. Three years later we ended up with this...
