Maggie’s What's Your View II

Pool noodles and electrical tape sir.

Appropriate “yard boy” look...... ?

Already done that, didn’t accomplish much. I quit looking, but way back when, I may have come across someone that was selling upgraded straps on the web. I’ll have to look back into that. Machine is put away for the winter, unless we get snow. I really like it otherwise.

My new office. It’s a shit truck but a fun job!

Hi.

@Bender
You gotta do some cord management or something.....I had to count backwards (on my fingers of course) to calm my anxiety down just from looking at all those.

Sincerely,
Theis
It’s my first day in the new to me/old truck. The steering wheel mount is temporary, obviously. But it’s a definite shit show when calibrating...

They’re huge inside?

Very True! It's a slight but noticeable improvement over the previous generation for sure. Now that Ford has started with the cab unification (F-150 - F-450 share the same cab 2017 forward) you pretty much get that roominess in all models. You could very well sleep in the rear with the seat folded up on a Crew-Cab.

Hell, it's huge outside :ROFLMAO:

Why thanks! The truck is pretty big also ;)

Just put a Ford part in it? ?
Yep. Actually an automotive relay I would call universal, most manufacturers adopted about 15 years ago. Ford and a couple others have been using them since the very early 90's. Had one on hand, put it and and problem solved.
The relay is keyed so it can only plug in one way, rated for 30 amps. So covers about 95% of auto applications.
Edit: If you know about Ford's part # system you can see that relay started production in 1990. That particular one is probably a couple years old (but never used).

6” on the last Monday and another 2 on Wednesday. Problem is my father in law plowed before he left and put a big pile of snow in front of my berm. It’s 4’ high and 150’ long... gonna have to get the tractor out to move is since it’s frozen solid. Sometimes he does shit just to get a rise out of me. He’s gone for the next 2 months so I’ll just move it

That's beautiful. Most of the EU is. How is Austria's immigrant situation?

Austria is further behind France, Germany, Belgium, UK, Norway, Sweden, etc in terms of total numbers/percentages of migrants. So, they are in a bit better shape than the rest. They just recently elected a conservative .gov, so things should be turning around for the better. We didn't notice any issues this trip (primarily in Innsbruck), but we went through a very scenic tourist/alpine/skiing area east of Kitzbuhl last September and the migrants have moved in and taken over about a quarter of the town. There is tension there, enough that you can sense it and can cut it with a knife. We were approached by locals who wanted to discuss the issues, VERY friendly towards 'Muricans. They know Trump, admire him and are hopeful their new elected officials will tell Brussels to pound sand. We had lunch at an Austrian tavern that we stumbled across about 11:30 AM on a Saturday. Unbeknownst to us, there appeared to be a meeting of the local government, complete with the Burgmeister and the rest of the city officials and we had the distinct impression that the topic du jour was that of the immigrants. I had sauntered up to the bar to order food/drinks and they were busy filling the food and drink orders for the local swinging dicks that were meeting in one of the private meeting rooms. Everyone, particularly the local patrons were very friendly toward me. I deceided that I wasn't going to ask any questions......my spidey sense told me there was something going on. I noticed that when a waitress took a newly loaded tray toward the meeting room, the door would open, she would enter the room and the door would close behind her. As an aside, when we initially arrived at the Bahnhof of this town, we got off the train and walked directly across the street and bought a Doner Kebap from a local immigrant vendor. Worst food I have ever had and the "woman" working behind the counter could not even remotely conceal her hatred of westerners.

The Austrians are also keenly aware of Viktor Orban, PM of Hungary, who is a fucking stud. He's been jabbing his thumb in the EU's eyes since he became P/M in 2010. I think generally, the Austrians look up to Orban and the politicians of Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia who are giving the finger to the EU scum in Brussels. I'd like to see more of it and I'm encouraged by what is happening in Brazil recently. Don't get me wrong, Austria has a problem, but it is much smaller than what is going on further to the West/North and they are dealing with it. The common denominator is the slimy politicians that have tried to sell them down the river. I do believe that Austria can be turned around and it isn't too late.

Here's a pic from Gleiss/Bahnsteig 6 in Innsbruck this morning (Saturday);

It was starting to come down heavy and we very clearly heard the avalanche patrols blasting on the Nordkette, ~ 5 klicks North of town, as the crow flies. Not sure if they were shooting Arty, or if they were placing charges manually. One way or another, there were a lot of them. Here's a pic of the top of Nordkette from last January (2018), when we were there and the weather had been a bit more cooperative;
