We had a perfect afternoon here!

Abby's big fish

They never stop surprising me. Abby was recently diagnosed ADHD.
I was worried about how fishing wouldn't keep her engaged. She settled down and focused on the task and seemed as content as could be. Maggie, her twin sister, was the opposite. Fidgety and bored in a hurry. A complete personality flip-flop.

What kind of fish did you say that was?! :D
7063249

The most still and quiet I've ever seen them
7063250

I want a picture with my fish!
Do you want to hold it?
No. You hold it AND take the picture!

Took them home on the ATV and was informed that Riley (Bubba) wanted to go for a ride.
So we took a few woods trails and stopped by the swing trees for a Kodak moment.
Got Bubba back on the ATV and girls wanted to swing a bit longer.
Riley got real excited and kept saying, "Let's go. Let's go!"
So I climb back on and the girls situated, and the key is gone - and he's giggling like a hyena over hiding my key.
He can't stand or walk on his own and man is he getting heavy!

10k likes Tucker!

Thats what the best times in life are made of. Better than dealing with a bunch of douche-nozzles on here any day!

Momma’s son is coming up on 8. Serious ADHD. Fishin last year was the same for him. Just hooked on it and so focused. He is the same with babies. He will sit, hold, and love a baby for a long time. Kinda funny for such an energetic and rowdy kid.

Very cool Tuck...... ;):cool::cool::cool:

Wholly Krap ! Hang in there Brother !!

Thank you sir! It was a little rough, but pulled through with no real issues. Nice and sunny today and all weekend!

Dang. Spoke with the in-laws last evening and they told me that stuff was on its way.
Hope you came out ok.

Thanks! Depending on where they are located they might have gotten some fierce weather. I know Waco up to Dallas got pounded. Louisiana has a 60 percent chance for a tornado every 50 square miles today. Not fun for them. At least our tornado possibility was only 30 percent.

Just a little hail... good for a new paint job on your truck?

Ughh, I know. Funny you say that actually... I was parked underneath a bridge when I posted that radar image ?

When they say 1" hail is highly likely, I'm a little more proactive than "hope it misses us".

What app is this and how do you like it? I’ve been looking for another good radar app since Storm stopped supporting their app.

That is RadarScope Pro. I have a level 2 subscription on it that gives all of the advanced cell information and cell tracks, 30 frames of radar, etc. I think it's like $20 a year. I doesn't do any forecasting - just straight up advanced radar from local radar sources (selectable). Fort Hood happens to be the closest radar for me.

For just general forcasting/outlook I use Dark Sky. It's a little simplistic, but it does the job that Storm dropped. There is a huge gap in good weather apps out there. Storm used to be the best before The Weather Channel destroyed it.

Hope you don’t get tore up. It is the season for those things I guess. ?

Appreciate it. Pulled through ok on this one. Spring-time gets a little rough. We get some roll through in the summer though that are rather impressive.

Getting our asses kicked down here in Texas right now! Each one of those lines you see - that’s 1 inch hail carrying cells... ?

Supposed to be coming through here 2-4am tomorrow - great! Vehicles going inside tonight. Heard 1/4 of all tornadoes this year have been in AL. On a brighter note, these just showed up:

Yeah, AL always gets the shaft by Mother Nature it seems. Stay safe out there!

P.S.: Damn those look good. Some smoked gouda cheese on the side... (y)

When are you heading back down this way? We need to hit the range again soon.

That sir, is a good question. I'm thinking once the AI ASR and TT5-25P get delivered. That should give you enough time to spin up a Normal barrel for the MSR.

I'm told the ASR ETA is mid-late summer. Whats the ETA on your barrel?

Sweet. "Master Tooley" is probably a few weeks out. I've having two identically spun up at the same time. Bartlein, 28", 1-9". Original MSR/PSR spec. Basically going to let Tooley work his magic on them like he did back before Big Green turned into massive douches!

I have a friend who was losing newborn calves to hogs. Calf would drop and a large boar would be waiting for it to hit the ground, but only at night. The boar wouldn't show itself during the daylight. He asked me to come out with my thermal and try to get that hog. I setup on a cow ready to birth. The calf dropped a few hours before daylight and that hog stuck his head out of the brush about 50 yards away like he was just waiting for that calf to drop. I snuck a 300gr TTSX 458 Socom behind his left ear at 80 yards. Rancher hasn't had any more problems with hogs attacking his new born calves fortunately. Turns out the boar hog was about 350lbs with worn down teeth but was in good physical shape. We dragged it with a four wheeler to a remote part of the ranch and put a game camera on it due to mountain lions with cubs being in the area. They never came in, but lots of buzzards and yotes.

Thanks, I’ve seen stuff on dark sky but hadn’t talked to anyone who uses it. I agree Storm was the best out there until TWC bought it. I’ll check out radar scope.

Also got 4 packs of cheese curds but $33 for shipping. Was supposed to be here yesterday (2-day) but USPS did it usual thing. Knew shipping wasn't going to be cheap but was curious to try some. They smell great still sealed! Any reason they can't be frozen?
Don’t freeze them. If anything, set them out on a plate somewhere. The drier they get the better they are. $33 for second day and those 8 packages ain’t really bad I don’t think

Helped my dad change his blinker fluid. Helped get his boat fired up for the spring.
Spent my morning getting pissed 2012 jeep grand cherokee transmission filter change.... first rockauto sent wrong filter thankfully 2nd auto parts store had it. Oh and stupid jeep doesn't have a dipstick for the transmission!!!
I'll take ideas on that.????
Cost $30 to have it verified good.

There is a special "tool" (it's the regular dipstick with special markings on it) that they use at the dealer. They basically don't want "average" untrained people messing with the fluid given that there are a lot of different varieties that each manufacturer/model uses.

It's pretty stupid. Hell, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc... there's no dipstick for anything on some of them, oil or transmission. It's through the computer or not at all. Here's the kicker though - there isn't an oil pan drain plug either! It must be evacuated through a special tube (I guess where the dipstick should have been).

Basically idiots working on their own stuff, messing it up then trying to file a warranty claim is what got us here.

My wife’s c300 is supposed to be dealer only oil changed. I drop the lower cover from the bottom of the engine and found the drain. Screw that pumping the oil from the top crap!

Oh wow so there is one hidden under there somewhere?

Yeah I hear you there! They never truly get all of the "sediment" out of the bottom of the pan that way.

There is a Dorman part that has level marks on it that correspond to a chart vs temp of the transmission. I had to use it to change my mom's GC. Not too expensive, and you can get a Bluetooth obd 2 reader that you can use with your phone to read the transmission temperature to use with the chart. I think the dipstick, obd reader and the Torque app for my phone was ~$40 total.

I read the drying/smoking comments earlier and that's the plan. But thought I'd try to save a couple of packs for later. Or maybe better to dry/smoke and then freeze? I'll give the shop a call and see what they think. Tried a couple bites as is and they're very good, but different from anything else I've had. Agree $33 for 2nd day ain't bad - but USPS turned into 3 days.

The ones I was trying to get for @1J04 sit out in an open air case in the gas station forever... I’m pretty sure they’ll never go bad. I’d just leave them out instead of freezing them. These are the most wet ones I’ve ever seen actually

Getting to be that time of the year.View attachment 7064666
Finally feeling like spring, but won't use this rig for 10-14 days most likely. Hopefully can get the air seeder rolling seeding wheat before April is over though.
We’re about a week behind here compared to last year. Guys are scrambling to get Anhydrous on that they couldn’t get to last fall. I suspect to see a planter getting drug through a field this afternoon or tomorrow.
