Maggie’s What's Your View II

Beautiful....what are you seeing in those flowers?

Are you Audubon or Georgia O'Keefe?

Ha, I was thinking about all that while putting around the yard and just enjoying the incredible view of the simple things we have that are taken, unfortunately, for granted more often than not. When I was into photography I always enjoyed macro for some reason over panoramic. The little intricate things we often miss from afar that require a closer examination to fully appreciate exactly what you're really looking at. In short, just Larry being Larry. :giggle:

I'm glad you enjoyed them as well my friend. You as well have a beautiful piece of property and I bet if you looked a tad closer with a lens you'd be surprised even more so of the beauty you're surrounded by. Thanks again for expressing your enjoyment, it makes the whole point valid. ;)

Love the macro stuff Larry.
On our honeymoon a few years ago, Rebecca and I stopped for a picnic lunch. Decided to snap a few pics and noticed these flowers.
In the upper flower you can see an insect. I tried a closer pic but he wasn't having it.

Damn, everyone I know that had those had at least one expensive trip to the ER.

R

Guess it makes sense for me then. I get a good deal on ER visits.......
$300 copay. And waved if admitted. No deductible.
I just have to use my companies docs and hospitals.
Some copay for specialists, but I dont need them, yet....

Banged my hand hard on a propane cylinder yesterday after getting it filled. Keeping an eye for cellulitis or a destroyed shoulder......?. Those things ARE dangerous!

My friend had her knee replaced for $40 out of pocket for the “pre surgery” visit to the specialist.

Doc had no patients yesterday. Doc enjoyed y'alls pictures.
Today, Doc had one terminal patient.

Bob got bit by a copperhead, holding one and not paying attention while talking to a group of schoolkids!

Familiarity breeds contempt... Bob was a nice guy, friends with my Dad, but I thought he was a little spacey... I can see him getting bit like that.
I may get bit b4 life ends. Been hit a dozen times or so, but, no teeth got through the layer... and I was being careful....

I'll bet you $100.00 that an electric motor caught on fire in the collector. I spent 25 years in the motor drive industry and it was very common to see cast iron motors in sawmills with the cooling fins so clogged and caked with sawdust that you couldn't even see them. If they have to, they'll just dump the chips on the ground. They don't want to do that for very long though. Depending on market conditions, sometimes the chips bring in more money than the lumber.

This is a dimensional lumber mill. If it had been a plywood/veneer mill, you'd be looking at nothing more than concrete foundation by now. If the veneer catches on fire in the dryers, poof ! up she goes !

From what my buddy said, it sounds like a feeder bearing,
Yep, coulda been that too......tsk, tsk. Poor maintenance if that's what the root cause was. Bearings catching on fire is never a good thing and those types of things don't happen overnight.
