Maggie’s What's Your View II

A city rabbit was near my garden, nailed him in the head with a 3/8 sling shot bb followed by a beheading with a hatchet. An eventful evening in my book.

When I get both knees replaced soon, I might feel like 50 again. 65 tomorrow and really starting to feel it.
My wife had both knees replaced at the same time 3 years ago. She says it was the 2nd best decision she ever made. If you have time in advance, make sure your upper body strength is good - you'll need it for the first few weeks afterwards. Physical therapy is a pain in the ass, but pays big dividends if you take it seriously. We went to the beach about 2 months after the surgery and she was able to walk about 3 km in the wet sand with virtually no pain. You probably will feel 15 - 20 years younger after recovering.

Sorry, no pics again. Too busy kickin ass and making drinks.....

Momma’s folks are in town for about 10 days, arrived this afternoon.
I had planned some grilled steak fajitas for dinner and everyone was pretty happy.
Picky kids chose to stay hungry....?
We had some margaritas with chips (hint of lime kind) and guac and salsa. The fired up the steak and veggies and off we went.

Gave my future FIL his birthday present, 2 nice bottles of single malt. Glenlivet and I think Macallans. He was pretty darn happy. He and I sip a bit when we are together..... the ladies just wrinkle their noses and go away.
The we talk about the Bible and the Constitution.

Anyways. Been a helluva week getting ready to go camping and rafting this weekend with just my daughter and I. She needs that “just dad” time and its good for us. We are super tight and as she grows I will work extra hard to keep that relationship close.
Also good for momma’s two kids to have a little special time with their grandparents too.

My view nearly every evening for the next 6 weeks baring rain outs and a few weekend days. Grace’s opener tonight. She’s at 3rd. Missed Ty’s opener Tuesday evening. Beautiful evening for ball.

OK, so stupid question.......looks like Girl's (Women's) fastpitch softball, right ?

Where abouts (generally) ? Nebraska ?

Haha...sat across the aisle from him on a plane a couple years back. Seemed like a nice pretty down to earth kinda guy.

A few years back, my wife suggested that I cut my mustache/shave, because it was so white that it reminded her of him........:eek:

(I later found out that she was lying........actually, she didn't like constant abrasion on the insides of her thighs.......;))

No crap, I keep my beard at a #2 trimmer and use some Cremo beard cream to keep it softer.
Momma’s chin and stuff was bearing some whisker burns if I went shorter.

I tried shaving clean, she said i look 24 and by evening its like 60 grit, not so great for her.

Woulda never thought I would, but its about taking care of the lady. Who is takin care of me! ?

That’s how I ended up with a beard. Wife said, shave twice a day or grow it out because my face was always like sandpaper. Easy decision for me!

I miss my son's games. Seemed like a pain in the ass at the time, always had to be at baseball in the spring and summer, and football in the fall. Now that he's off on his own I miss it. There were tears and him thanking me for never missing one after his last football game. Made me realize why it had always been my priority.

You are close to the Glacier Brewhouse.
They have an oatmeal stout that is unbelievable.
They also had some tasty pizzas and of course good seafood!

Enjoy, always fun up there.

Ya, I am at the Captain Cook,

We had dinner at the Crows Nest lastnight, the steak dinner was out of this world, Marc and I were handing back ready to use clean plates it all that good.

And our server, equally good

I recall @sirhrmechanic having a thread about some store selling jeans wth fake mud on them. Went up to help the old folks today and after cleaning eve troughs full of pine needles, tree work, and carrying this young fella out of the “dry lot” (they received 3.5” of rain last night), I have a pair I’d give to some city boy if he didn’t mind the smell. The final calf of the season to a replacement heifer that was dumber than a box of hammers.
