Wednesday night down here so my working week is over after a couple of 12+ hour days, Monday was a public holiday. Knocked off a couple of cans of Wild Turkey 101 while attending to a couple of matters and having dinner. Poured myself a large Elijah Craig small batch over one of those monster ice balls and turned on the TV. Choice of movies was Contagion or Outbreak. Guess my view is now going to be the rest of the bottle and the laptop....

I set some fiberglass patches to cure over night. There were some decent rust holes on the back. Bondo and sanding and hopefully primer tomorrow

During the ongoing process of setting up the newest reloading center, little treasures have been popping up. One of my favorites:

Local Scheels had a herd of unicorns. I havent tried using R16, but I'm thinking about going back and picking some up.
They had 54lbs of varget, 30-somethjng of H1000, 24lbs of R16... List goes on. I asked them about shipping and they said currently they don't but it's in the plans when they work out the hazmat stuff. I go there 2-3 times a month so I'll keep you all in the loop if/ when they decide to ship.
115 deg F yesterday, should only get to 101 today but expecting thunderstorms and 1 to 1 1/2 inches of rain in our area, up to 4 inches in other parts of the state.
Got home from work in time and winds were light (4-6 mph), so I thought I’d shake it up a little and shot Miss Lori’s mouse gun. Kinda’ fun and something different. Those little pairs are tough to distinguish through a 15x with my old geezer eyes.

Had some scrap oak laying around. Still needs some stain.
Now that's a good idea. I've made case trays out of oak, they work good. Looks like I better scrounge through the lumber stash.
Midnite now, only got 1" so far but still plenty coming on the radar, flash floods in many areas (but not ours) better than the fires. Still 80 deg F and 98% humidity. Very unusual to get tropical weather at latitude 34 South, Greta Thornberg supporters are over the moon feeling justified about climate change instead of recognizing a weather event that occurs every ten years or so and lasts one or two days.
Even when the coyotes don’t show up, I enjoy my time in the desert.
Got the blue on. DuPont imron 3.5. I really love this paint. Too bad the red will have to be something different. No time to order it.

Gettin all fucked up on paint fumes? let this red flash off and hit it with a few coats of clear, then call it a day. Couple racks of baby backs should be just about done perfect when I get done
They grow their first arms between 75-100 years old. Many of these saguaros are 100-200 years old. Pretty amazing cactus we have here in Southern AZ. I walk in the desert almost every day, between hiking, hunting, and shooting my rifles.
Some areas are starting to recover.....
You're lucky. After the Yellowstone fires in 1988 it was totally destroyed and remains a barren wasteland till this day!
