Maggie’s What's Your View II

Kids had a 2 hour delay this morning which turned into a cancellation (unwarranted). So back to the pond this afternoon after clearing our place, the in-laws, and a little church parking lot and sidewalk with the tractor. Grabbed the larger walk behind as this snow was wet and heavy.

those two look like trouble!

I just ordered a RCBS rock chucker. What are those plates under the press?
It’s the rcbs plate that has all the pre tapped holes for a bunch of their stuff. I never use them anymore really. A guy could just drill and tap a 1/2” plate and screw that to the counter and accomplish the same thing

They're seriously protected, and it's kinda important that 1) I don't violate any State or Federal Law, an 2) that I'm able to pass a Polygraph. So we'll put the Live Trap back out for a bit and if that doesn't work?
Claymore's

"Hello, game commission? Yeah y'all need to get out here and deal with this friggin squirrels, they are after my nuts."

"Sir we don't have time to deal with squirrels."

"Well if you don't deal with them, I'm gonna shoot the little fuzzy bastards."

"Sir! Shooting them is illegal, they are protected!"

"Well you better get out here and protect them, cause they are gonna be dead in about a half hour."

Insert "gator" and "after my dogs", and that exact conversation occured between my uncle and FWC back in the early 80s when Gators were highly protected.

I was going to suggest the SSS avenue that is widely used around here. But the subject of taking a polygraph comes into play.

Ummmm I have heard that putting a thumbtack in your shoe might help with the test. Don't know if it's true but I doubt you would want to risk it for a few tree rats.

My ex father-in-law would catch the squirrels in a cage. He would paint them fluorescent orange or yellow. He worked at the Railroad for 40 years, and had some train operators he didn't like, so he would set the squirrels lose about five miles up the track. I guess the goal was to see if these guys would come back and talk about orange squirrels, maybe in hopes they would get drugged screened???? He was a quiet man and didn't share his motives, but he was always doing something like this.

The bunnies are hungry this morning.

I broke down and bought a bag of rabbit feed. Had to screw the feed trough to a 2x12, little buggers kept knocking it over. Corn cobs mostly gone, time for another gathering run, not a problem with all the standing corn around here.

Feeding rabbits. Must be getting soft in my old age.

Damn coyotes and feral dogs keep the rabbits gone around here.
