All of these similarities are getting a tad creepy. :p

You're still a good man Mr Tucker. And I know what "Puh Na Na" is. ;)

Great pics as usual. Looking forward to seeing Gramps place for the comparison.

So, that Cow do any tricks?

Yeah, but that lets all the douches get by the tree also

This is true. But when I'm headed back to the homestead and the highway is shut down do to trees over it, I've had to cut my way home via the logging roads that had trees down as well. I don't have the patience to wait for the County or State to getter done. :p Hey, ain't you suppose to be hang'n lights? ;)

That old cow looks pretty rough.

agree on the chainsaw piece, all year when running around the woods here in CO with all the beetle kill.

Hung Christmas lights for my GF today and out her studded snows on. Been so warm here we had been putting it off, now its just dancing with fate to wait anymore. We will say she was happy.

It was 60 in Denver again today.....

Damn MtnCreek , y'all got some nice snow up that way.

Tucker301 , you need to get Buttercup fattened up if she's going to survive those Virgina "blizzards", maybe share some of your Porter/Stouts with her on your visits?

I really miss the snow. I thinks it's a little funny that you are probably glad to be rid of it after moving back South and I miss it after moving a little too far South. I guess it'll all work out.

Enjoying the great wintry pictures fellas! We’ve had flurries here and there, but no accumulation. Fine with me to have a green Christmas. Cooler temps are putting ice on the pond in the timber, my son can’t wait for pond hockey season.

Finished splitting wood this afternoon. May cut some yet, but I’m ok with what we did this fall.

I like it when it's actually snowing and everything is quiet and clean. What I hated up there was how it turned to frozen filth almost instantly and stayed on the ground for 6 months. I don't miss having to shovel myself out of an apartment; I don't miss having to spend hours in the morning getting my truck de-iced and dug out. I don't miss driving in city traffic on frozen roads. When I lived in AK the snow didn't bother me at all, but it was totally different in Shitcago.

The little bit we got the other night was a very nice dose of winter which politely went away, unlike up North where I knew I wouldn't see the sun until maybe June.

This past Saturday I was able to watch the sun rise and set over my native state of Wyoming.

In between I was able to hunt some birds (Hungarian and Chukar partridge) with my brother. We put some miles on the UTV, hung out in some beautiful country, saw a couple of nice mule deer bucks, and got away from it all. My single Chukar I bagged was a fast right to left passing shot at about 50 yards. Pretty much the perfect pattern placement - one #5 in the head behind the ear, and one through the lungs. No other holes in the bird. I told my brother I planned it that way, but I don't think he bought it. I used to judge a hunt by what I brought home. Not so much anymore.

Shared this with A1J04 earlier.
Sitting in the parking lot waiting for Rebecca to come out for lunch and help me eat a pallomia steak sandwich.
Blue skies and a tasty lunch.

That did it. I'm gonna have to phone in an order from philly now. Twice in one day is too much. Bet she loved that meal buddy. You're a good man.

I'm surprised it doesn't grow where you're at. People around here go West to get their alfalfa. Blister beetles are a problem with alfalfa in this area. I buy from a guy that trailers in alfalfa mixed in with prairie grass. It can be fed strait to horses without turning them into crackheads or foundering.

I'm sure the elk work enough in the cold to not go crackhead on it. The average horse doesn't and will go 100% crackhead on strait alfalfa. Que the pic of the black guy with powder on his face and "Y'all got anymore of that alfalfa?"

I remember that one.
There was also another where an elk was eating alfalfa from the back of a big truck

Ok, they were out there stealing from the Barn again this morning. I took 3 quick shots over the shoulder while zipping by and this is what we got. I can't believe that gang o angus let'm in there. You can actually make a few Elks out in one of them.

That's them below in the middle of the pic by the fence. They've been naughty.

A friend of mine that has passed use to let 3 of us hide in his Barn during Elk Season. Archery n Rifle Season was a hoot. During Archery we'd just open the top half of the door for each other while your buddy draws n fires. Nothing left to do but snag the tractor and load the truck. :p

Should I take that as a hint? Do I hear a plaintive Sasquatch wail from the Northwest Pacific coastal rain forest?

Oh, and by the way, Mike's food porn is a Cuban specialty.
