I agree about the 5” gutters. We’ve had some extremely heavy rains over the last couple of years and it does overwhelm the gutters. That little section is never a problem though.
That window was a nice touch. It’s on the north side of our bedroom. Jamie’s treadmill is right there so see can look out.

Putting in trail to access a new area up in the mountains behind our place. Fighting through the alder thickets right now. Lots of frost build up on them.
I like them pretty well. They’re slow, and the rear tracks struggle climbing over logs that are perpendicular to your path. Other than that, they’re great for early season or low snow years . I’m really impressed with where they will go as far as terrain and the traction you get for pulling loads.
Old school wound be cooler but the newer one is more practical
We used to have an old JD 420 dozer on the farm where I grew up along with a nice little 6 way 350. Great machines for small jobs, tight areas, or places requiring a light footprint.
I must admit, when I worked in the logging woods, I much preferred my Cat equipment to my Deere stuff. The Cat equipment was really operator friendly by comparison. Both had good dealer support in my area so that wasn’t a concern.

I’m having something similar put together right now. M70 Classic SS 30-06, Game Warden Stock, #4 Bartlien 1-10, CDI bottom metal, topped with either a NXS 2.5-10x32 mil/mil or a NXS F1 3.5-15x50 mil/mil.
Great combo! I love the CDI bottom metal on mine as well. I'm thinking of having the factory tube replaced with a 3b Bartlein or Proof Sendero, but it shoots so well I don't know if there is any point...
My 338 factory barrel is that way for what I need out of it. Even though I’m a full grain under max and at 22”, it still reaches out to right about 500 yards with sufficient velocity for proper/reliable bullet expansion. At that distance I’m still able to hold sub MOA reliably so I didn’t see that point in rebarreling that one. The ‘06 on the other hand was reeeeeaaaaalllllyyy sllloooooowww and although it grouped well, it had to go.
NE Kansas, taking my son back to his mom normally takes 20-25 minutes today 55, drive home after 25 today 55 but one hell of a sunset.
I have 5 miles on gravel it runs east west. A few good drifts. Driveway sucked got the Subaru turned around to head back out. Well an hour later getting ready to head to work. 2 hours earlier than normal. Driveway drifted more. The truck is sideways and up to the bumpers yes I know I need weight in the bed.... and the Subaru is up to the hood and high centered. I dug trying to get one free used sheets of siding scrap. After 2 hours I gave up. I lose my holiday pay for 2 days.... I'm tired and pissed and will be back at it in the morning.

A little early but this will be part of my view on Saturday night. Will be attending a dinner celebrating the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Australian Air Forces Aircraft Research and Development Unit, a unit that I first joined over 44 years ago. My last tour there was from 1990-1997 prior to retiring from the Air Force in 1998 I am starting to feel old now looking back on all this. Expecting at least a two day hangover from this event. Will try to get some pics on the night for an after action report.
We welcome past and present members of ARDU, affiliated units and their guests to join us for a formal Anniversary Gala Dinner, to coincide with the annual D.J. Knights Memorial Dinner.
Expect :
- A roaming cocktail hour with canapés while you tour the museum's impressive aircraft displays to the sound of live music from the RAAF band, catch up with old colleagues and friends, and observe museum staff run a historic aircraft engine!
- Three course sit-down meal in customary Dining-in-Night format, encompassing speeches and D.J. Knights traditions (including annual award presentations) and Passing of the Port

My Sunday was spent burning off stuffing and pie, cleaning up the woodline along some 1600 feet of road frontage. Any overhanging limb or startup sapling that the loppers can handle and I can reach get the snip. It makes the property more aesthetically pleasing (not that it matters to me at all 
) and it gives me the freedom and comfort of mowing straight edges without having my hat knocked off by the branches. I also reworked these areas this Fall - lightly tilled, removed some rocks, and sowed new grass - so I want a little more sunshine there in the Spring.
It's good exercise for the winter months and this is just the first phase. There's some two miles of trails in the woods plus the perimeters and driveways yet to go. After some time for regrowth to fill in it's not even noticeable that anything has been cut, but the edges have a crisp clean line to them that makes the place look nice.

It’s just a small Bridgeport. I found it on accurate shooter. It has the same body as the one I have now. I think they’re 12x36. My old one has a tree head on it instead of the original. While I like the z collets better, they are harder to come by. This one is all original. The guy I bought it from had 2 of them to get rid of. They came out of a tech school before he bought them ages ago. That’s about it really. I bright the forklift to make the job easier.
6.7 ford turbo leaking and using oil. Time to replace it. What a nightmare. At least I get paid by the hour.
