Maggie’s What's Your View II

Just dont quit working out!

I missed some days this week due to feeling like crap and not sleeping much, I hate it as it is my therapy along with shooting.

+100 on the foam roller. Rthur is right and it mitigates soreness the next day very very well.
I notice routine rolling helps me stay more flexible as well during lots of lifting and running.

I lift 3 days a week and run 3 days a week. On lifting days, I take a short break at work and speedily climb 56 flights of stairs for a little extra.
I alter my lifting routine every 8 weeks and next spring for the last 2 months before my May marathon I will go down to 2 days a week of full body interval training and focus more time into my runs.

Good on ya, helps us not get old like those young guys!

I started riding a road bike in August. I've put about 1400 miles on it since then. Had to take some time off when I F--ked up the rotator cuff and it still ain't real good but I'm back to riding. Best shape I've been in since Rookie school. You have to have your head on a swivel though. People can't see you when they drive with their head up their ass.

If you pull the cab.
I’m use to a isx or m11 turbo. Hate doing v8 turbos.
You have not had a good time until you have either done a turbo on a 93 7.3 turbodiesel (pre-powerstroke, 1st year of powerstroke was also labeled "turbo diesel" which was '94) or 6.4 POS turbos. Fuck I hate those. Pull cab to do turbo is stupid. The 6.7 is a 45min- 60min job(removal) 6.0 is 15-20min.
Duramax sucks donkey balls also.

Done plenty of older 7.3 powerstrokes, still think the 6.7 is worst to do. Just did one on my service truck not too long ago. It has a 6.0 it wasn’t too bad. But the big MAXX force international blows all of them out of the water. Absolute fucking nightmare. Don’t know what the engineers were thinking.

7.3 power stroke isn't to bad. 6.0 is easier. But the 93 IDI turbo diesel was a mother fucker. Thank God they only made it for about 9 months. I have not seen one on the road for 15 years. IDI was a bulletproof engine, but 180hp 330lbs torque it was not a power house. Turbo only jumped it to 190hp 380 torque.

My bud sent this pic back from Budapest:

Castle hill on the Buda side of the Danube. It really is that beautiful, and much more.

He will probably go to the Pest side and tour Parliament, but encourage him to do so anyway (if he hasn't already done so). He doesn't want to miss it.

The night (picture) shots across the Danube from the Pest side of the river of Castle hill are just amazing. I have a bunch of them on a portable hard drive and will dig them out and try to post this weekend.

He text me from ORD a couple of hours ago.
He spent some time in Slovakia and Switzerland as well.

Run bright assed flashing lights even in broad daylight. Wear bright clothing. It helps a bunch

My service truck I have at home is an 6.9 idi it slow but it’s a runner. I guess all the 7.3 I worked on were powerstrokes. Still not a big flan of doing turbos on v8 diesels.
Geno I guess I have been lucky and never did a turbo on a gm

The neighbors are out of town this weekend, so Mrs. T and I played Santa's helpers and fixed the broken leg on the gym set that's been down for 6 months.
Next we're off to go place that order for the Amish dining set and grab some lunch.

Now this is what Christmas is all about.

I hope your gun shows up Geno. A gun out on the float brings civil unrest at the Nichols house to extreme levels. Drives me absolutely nuts.
I hear ya, the first time I've been in the waiting position in many years recently.
Specialty rig of sorts.
I'll get more specific when it shows up.

Dropping the frames off at the powder coater tomorrow. Should be done in less than a week. We have to order a new flake gun and a bunch of flake. Been too long since we’ve done it and technology has changed.
I could help you if we were closer on the map... you probably don’t need to invest in a “flake” gun. Check out House Of Kolor, they should have all the materials you’ll need to do some Big Flake Candy paint jobs and it is very user friendly, even without a paint booth. Feel free to PM me if need be. I can also chat via telephone if it helps. I just love old Americana stuff, even if it involves dirty carnies!!

I decided to doctor the pic up a little and made up a story to text to my neighbors. I told them I went over to check on things at the house and ran into these odd looking little guys. They claimed they were out on a test drive of their weird vehicle and they noticed the broken gym set, so they decided to fix it before they got on their way.
The girls are freaking out ?

Flake is nothing new to us. We are just going to blow it on dry instead of mixed with clear. If you’re a pro, you’d laugh at how we paint some stuff but the results ain’t bad.

USPS actually
I had an order that had shipped to my FFL riding around on a local USPS truck for three days up here. On Saturday, I drove over to my FFL's and low and behold, coincidentally, managed to box the mail truck in his driveway. I got out of my truck and walked over to the mail truck. I told the driver/mailman what had been going on. He was playing dumb and I happened to glance over at the dash. Guess what I saw ? My package. I pointed it out to the driver and told him to conplete the delivery, which he did. My FFL said that shit happens constantly, even in spite of many complaints from the FFL.

Those drivers eventually have accidents... dont last long around here acting that way...
