Maggie’s What's Your View II

6# bags of sausage seasoning for deer sausage as left by the back door by the UPS driver. Instantly PO when I saw it. I started a hunt around town and found him a few blocks away so I asked him WTF are you thinking. He said he noticed the "dust" but thought it was packing. I asked for his UPS ID, took a pic and told him you're too stupid to do the job but don't worry you won't have to do it much longer. I suspect he is out there somewhere plotting revenge. I hate to think what he could do to a rifle.
PS: the Crocs aren't mine.

That ain’t shit! I used to load ups semi trailers when I was in college. What gets done to your packages there is why I pack stuff the way I do. Ask anyone who I’ve shipped something to. You really have to pack like gorillas are handling them.

My usps driver is good. A very nice lady. The ups and fedex drivers are not worth a damn though

Mine is a Shehane setup for a repeater shooting 180s out of a long action

Nice!? Sounds like a sweet ride with low recoil. My Sako A7 25-06 is at the smiths getting a Krieger and chambered to the 6.5x284 with a 7.5 twist. Gonna throw 147/150’s with it if I can ever find the Sierra 150’s?. First 6.5 in a bolt gun and can’t wait.

I started riding a road bike in August. I've put about 1400 miles on it since then. Had to take some time off when I F--ked up the rotator cuff and it still ain't real good but I'm back to riding. Best shape I've been in since Rookie school. You have to have your head on a swivel though. People can't see you when they drive with their head up their ass.
According to Strava I’m a hair shy of 3300 for the year, it keeps me out of trouble.

6.5’s are the shit, especially if you have a lot of hours logged behind a 308.

Still learning the long game but damn if it isn’t some fun? Been riding a 6.5CM Wilson gasser for a little over a year and love it. Can’t wait for this project to come out of the shop to see the potential in a bolt gun with a few more grains of powder behind it.

What type of rifling in the barrel did you go with? There was a guy blowing up 150s in a 4 groove out of a 6.5-284 when they first came out and going to a 5r stopped that.

4 groove.....of course. Looks like I won’t be throwing Sierras which is not the end of the world cuz I can’t find them anyway. Appreciate the heads up amigo.?

Will do but typically throw Hornady anyway with 147’s on the shelf. Been told that if I land on an accurate load out of the gate with that caliber to stick with it. Thanks to Hide guys helping me out I have some solid starting points?

Cashs gun showed up today? I got it all put together. Sadly it’s a little too cold for him to enjoy shooting... have to get some brass formed and a load ready for him for when the weather breaks.

I got my 284 Shehane put together. Gonna be plenty of room for some long bullets? Somehow I forgot to get a rail for it though...

Glad it showed up Geno. I was getting stressed for ya.
Lookin good man. Little man is lucky having a rifle like that and a dad like you. Nothing better than being a dad and loving your kids.
There’s going to be some years when they’re too cool to hang out with dad. I’ll take advantage of it now and hopefully live long enough for them to want to do it when they’re older

I believe whole-heartedly that how we approach parenting determines if they will hang with us later.

My parents, though they were firm, were easy to talk to and hang around as a teenager. My friends would come over to my house to hang out a lot because of that.

I am hoping to be able to spend time with mine as they grow. Then I can teach em how to powerslide a truck properly!....... ?

Hi,

Well since I have no children I have to "raise" children via other people. So seeing children being raised and taught proper lessons, rewards, consequences, work ethic, etc is great to see.
So to our members such as @Geno C. @tnichols ----Keep making the non-parents like myself Proud of you and your children.

Sincerely,
Theis

View attachment 6982597Some days start out a little brisk for smoking.

Could be worse.
I had to go out in this yesterday and run around at 80+ mph.

The fishing sucked but that didn't matter because the weather was beautiful.

Of course, a boat pulling up to the ramp brings in all the socialist birds.

I'm asking because I don't know anything about boats - but will that boat pictured actually go 80+ MPH?

84mph and change on a rippled surface.
Flat calm 82.5.
Don't wear a shirt or jacket with a loose collar. It will beat your ear and neck to death.

Rides smooth as silk and turns like a race car.
