Which 6mm Cartridge and Why?

This one...:ROFLMAO:

Rifles are tools. Without a stated purpose, it’s just like identifying a favorite wrench without describing what you are wrenching on.

So. Um. No favorite, I guess.

Maybe 6PPC because ultimately, accuracy and precision are the only things that matter and it still wins all the short range benchrest matches….and they care more about precision than accuracy so I’m not even sure about that.

I went with 6 ARC as a gas gun because I can just build another upper and I'm good to go. I can even use the regular Magpul magazines if I want. The round has good flight characteristics and is not that hard on a barrel.

6ARC has turned out to be pretty damned versatile but it has its limitations being a true intermediate cartridge. Still, it's pretty amazing having near .308WIN performance out of a small frame rifle with a lot less recoil.

I’ve worked my way up from 6br to 6 dasher and now 6 creed. IDE pick the creed out of the three to stick with. I can run it down to 2750 for prs or push it to 3100 comfortably for hunting. I shoot 108’s and 109’s for everything

Skip the 6 and go to 25 cm…. Never look back 😎

I have 2 6cm and they are both lasers. Both shot factory hornady 108 match stupid accurate. Was really no reason to load for them but I do anyways. I load it light for my son at about 2800 fps, then I have another load with Berger 108 CH that’s moving around 3000fps with room to give. Easy to find good quality brass and just a good cartridge.

Not many bullet options for the 25. I've been shooting one or two since blackjacks came about. 135 Bergers are gonzo, 133s have same bc as a dtac. 134 eldm are available. Personally I think a 6gt with dtacs at 2850 is a solid choice. My gt shoots them pretty dang well there.

I still have about 3k blackjacks, so I’m good to finish this barrel off. I didn’t realize the 135 were gone. I’ve got about 1000 of them and 1000 133 to try at some point. Bought some 134 eldm but have not tried them yet.

Idk if I can shoot some that’s named “Gay Tiger” 😂😂😂

243. Factory ammo on the shelf almost anywhere. Put a good barrel on and shoot heavy bullets farther than most would think possible.
And it was given to me. Got it for free and now it's the most expensive rifle I own.

I just spun a 25gt, running 131s at 2700 and shooting well. I only have 1800 of them left. The barrel doesn't like 135s(have 6k of them) but also have 3k 134s. I like the high bc slower velocities for matches. My favorite is my 65cm with 153 Berger at 2610. However the lil 25 has less recoil and similar ballistics.

I like the 6mm x 45mm . Quality .223 brass is cheap and there are plenty of great bullets to choose from . I like it in 1/8 twist shooting bullets up to 105s .

Bolt gun the 6mm Dasher.
AR platform the 6mm ARC.
Cause they do everything well, that I need done in 6mm.
If I was doing 100 yd BR, I'd choose the 6 PPC, but that's not my thing....yet.
