The problem is the gun owners in CA are not voting, they scream and cry (like spoiled children) about how the majority of assholes in CA are "keeping them down" etc., but when we actually examine the number of Total Votes Cast in the last election, even a blind man can see that if 90% of the gun owners Voted, 100% of the State House would be pro 2nd Adm!!!!!! I lived in CA for 18 years after I got out of the coast Guard. It is beautiful, and the weather is the best in the nation.
It's the government of the state and the liberalism of many of the residents. If you believe differently than the liberal agenda then you are looked at as a radical.
The state has serious economic and corruption issues. I escaped to Texas and would never go back.

However I would not look down on an individual (especially one on this board) simply because he lives there. There are many conservatives in CA. The southern part of the state more so than the north. My family was sent there when I was a junior in high school. At 19 I left. My family was soon relocated again.
The tipping point for me was when a respected friend informed me that she looked forward to the day she could "smoke out" with her kids. At 18 I remember thinking WTF
I soon realized that her position was not unusual for Northern California, I guess I was the odd guy out on that one. Roughly a year later I left.

That was many years ago when California was in a much better place than it is today.
With that said. I can't wait to relocate my family, our state is going to crap. There are issues of all sorts no matter where you live, but Ca seems to be ok with theirs.

If this sounds far fetched, open a history book and look up the German history after WWII. Understand that the side with the socialist ideals ended up with the most abhorrent injustice. A very small dictatorial elite was living high on the horse while everybody else was effed big time. We had a joke in school how you turn a banana into a compass. The problem is the gun owners in CA are not voting, they scream and cry (like spoiled children) about how the majority of assholes in CA are "keeping them down" etc., but when we actually examine the number of Total Votes Cast in the last election, even a blind man can see that if 90% of the gun owners Voted, 100% of the State House would be pro 2nd Adm!!!!!! Of course a few voted (or at least will spend time saying they did) but their time would have been far better spent getting other gun owners to vote. Mass failure of the gun owners voting is no ones fault but their own. I suspect a lot of CA gun Owners vote as liberal as it gets, based on the actual numbers.
There are idiots that point out how large the economy in CA is, but always fail to point out the state debt, and the growth of the state debt, and what the cost of interest is on the state debt, again a group of liberal fools that just can't bring themselves to examine actual facts! The CA liberal (commie) school system has done a great job in the "teach self esteem" dept., but receive an F in the how to look up facts dept! I've post this earlier in this string, but it may come as a surprise to all those that think CA has a super strong economy, but 34% of all Americans receiving some form of welfare live in CA! If this isn't bad enough, only 12% of the population of the US lives there! The taking of Federal money from the other 49 states to prop up their welfare checks is another big piece of their economy-one cleverly left off their list of "how great our economy is".

Well then explain to me then how Obama was reelected and our bad debt has gone up? Point at CA for its bad debt, what about the nation's? You do live in the USA right?
