This was one of the rifles Mr. Stiller put together from spare components several years ago and sold on his website. It has a pre-Rotex stock, Holeshot tuner, untuned Jewel trigger, and a Shilen barrel with their standard rifling which I believe is ratchet. Jerry said it shot as well as their octagon barrels but not well enough to be a killer barrel at the national level.
It's a good enough barrel for who it's for. Perhaps it might do better in hands of someone who competes in ARA and can actually judge wind.
Fortunately, this morning I didn't have to deal with the 20-30 MPH panhandle winds I was shooting my 20BR at PD's last week. The 55g Berger bullet I was shooting bucks the wind much better than a 40g 22 pellet. Of course I was shooting further than 50 yards. Much further.

June submission. I do have a question for the group and have not been able to find any information. Chemo related neuropathy has been taking a toll on my hands and fingers. Measured trigger pull averages 2.5 pounds with a factory trigger. With limited feeling in my trigger finger, am I better off to go with a lighter pull trigger or stay on the heavier end. I don't want any accidental discharges if I go tool light of pull. Any helpful thoughts would be appreciated.

BergaraGumpa, that is a very good question. It makes sense that the lighter the trigger weight, the less you have to actually "pull" the trigger, and the less "feel" you would have, given the light weight. I shoot an unlimited rifle in ARA and I just barely touch my trigger to fire a round. Since the trigger is so light, I'm not really pulling on the trigger until the break, just lightly touching the trigger. I suggest you try a few options first. Maybe increase your trigger weight, see how that works for you. Then, lighten it as much as you can and see how that works. One will most likely feel better to you than the other.
A thought comes to mind you can try, depending on the "feel" in both your hands. A short story to explain. I changed one piece rests a few years back, and my rifle has a left loading port, right bolt. I switched the controls so I could keep my right hand on the windage knob, while loading the rifle with my left. If I need an elevation adjustment, I use my left hand, and I learned to also use my left index finger to touch the trigger (I have always been right handed and right trigger finger). So the right hand opens closes the bolt, and controls the windage, the left loads the round in the port, and controls the elevation, and fires the round.
Bottom line, if one hand has more "feel" you could try to switch trigger hands like I did? Just a thought...

Yikes, sorry amigo. I have neuropathy in my foot/lower leg due to physical damage, not chemo. So I don’t know how helpful I can be. I’ve found that fine motor skills are challenging at times, so my tendency is to apply overwhelming force to overcome the deficiency. I don’t know if this analogy resonates, but because I can’t feel or control subtle motions with left foot, when tryimg to shift a motorcycle transmission, I feel it necessary to yank my whole leg up to actuate the shift lever, instead of simply lifting up left toes. This is an over-exaggerated comparison, but hopefully you get my point. I would suspect that you will have a similar nervous system reaction (hopefully) on a smaller scale. I’d bet there is a threshold with trigger pull weight where you reach a point of inability to feel the difference. And it’s likely very personal, and varies day to day, with weather in particular. Do you have access to multiple.22’s with various pull weights? I have some, are in the ABQ area?
I really appreciate the early comments. The trigger pull is adjustable from 2.5 pounds up to 5 pounds. Maximum pull was way too much and I found myself pulling almost all shots to the right. Clearly of the two, lighter is the best of my two current options. I am also curious about curved versus flat trigger and if a two stage trigger would be beneficial. Dexterity is compromised as it is difficult to button my shirt, tie shoes and separate sheets of paper, you get the idea. Don't ask me to pick up dropped rounds. I have found myself using too much force on daily tasks. My trigger finger has feelings like a large callous. Thanks so much.

Shooter error once again. I didn't shoot too badly after the first bull considering I that multiple fire ant bites on my shooting hand from moving the watering hose before shooting.

Dang, I hope you don't have too many spotters like that one!It's great when your buddies come out and help you spot your iron sight shots.
Yellow garden spider is not aggressive and their bite is supposed be about like a bee. Regardless I don't kill then. This one is fairly small yet and I'd just as soon he not attached his web to the gallon jar I accumulate 22 cases in. They do get large enough to kill and eat hummingbirds and I have had to relocate away from my wife's humming bird feeders. I prefer to have the pretty yellow and black striped spiders around as well as the nice webs they make to the bugs they eat.
A bigger danger is the black widow spiders - I killed over 50 one of the first summers we lived here and have had to kill 10 or so over the years on the concrete benches we shoot off of at PCSC. Needless to say I inspect the benches at the club as well as the one on my porch for spiders and wasps prior to sitting down to shoot. I did kill a small one with a hammer while I was working on my bullet trap so it pays to aware.

I like my Arnold rest. Had a joystick before that and I really like how the Arnold rest tracks.
God blessed us with 5/8" rain yesterday and an unusually pretty morning to shoot today. I managed 200's with three different rifles and a one shot stop with Eley Match on a red wasp that wandered onto the target backer. I really hate red wasps.
