I like your setup. Enlighten me on what you did with the grip. Also is that the game changer bag attached by some arca pic type clamp? Not blowing smoke up your skirt but my knee jerk thoughts are this guy knows exactly how he needs setup and probably could show up to any range and kick everyone's ass. Maybe it's because I like green ?

What height rings are those? High 1.26" or Medium 1.1"? I am about to drop the hammer on a 4-20 going on a new build, and like rings, not 1 piece mounts. I like to keep the scopes as low as possible too.

The 1.1 mediums are about right IMO. With a proof Sendero and 20moa rail you need to turn the tenebraex cap sideways so it clears the barrel. Lows would be too low for me. Especially if you have a 90 bolt throw, you may be dragging knuckles on the scope when cycling the bolt.

Yeah, explanation is up there. Credit where credit is due: I got the idea from BigJimFish. He did it on a Grayboe stock in a review he posted on here and I liked the idea a lot, so I contacted him and he kinda led me through his process. I was like $20 all in on that and it improved the feel of the rifle exponentially. I'm a big believer in getting that firing hand grip right.

Bag is a Black Branch Gecko II with their Elite fill. No attachments or rails, just a standard bag. The rifle will balance like it sits if you put the front of the magwell on the bag, so I'd like to get that just a little farther forward. Should've gotten a half a contour bigger barrel, lol.

I appreciate your confidence in me, but I'm pretty new to competition and I've hit about 30% at PRS matches this summer, lol.

20 in the mount and 20 in the rail. I'm right at 30.8 to be exact.
Ok that makes sense, are you concerned that with that much built in 40moa total that with your turrets set to zero you are on the low end of the elevation and putting constant pressure on the internals?

Or do you store it with elevation dialed more to the middle?

Should be roughly 5mils from the bottom with 40moa, not sure if that is even an issue.

I leave everything at my 100 zero when stored.

The ZCO scopes are supposed to be designed to work this way. Nick, do you have any comment on storage and whether or not you should store closer to middle of the elevation or it doesn't matter?

Plus 1 on the 5-27 arrival from CS. Originally ordered the ARC mediums, but looks like the lows will work better.

(Should have first done the penny stack test on their web site -> 4 pennies = perfect height = lows.)

Just ordered my ZCO 4-20×50 w. MPCT1 from Richard at CS Tactical today. Going on a new Axisworks build in 25SST built for the 131 Blackjack Ace.
Kelbly Atlas Tac SA mag bolt face
.26" 1:7.5" .257" Proof Sendero
Piercision 3 port Muscle Mag brake
Manners EH1 w. Gen 1 mini chassis DBM
Timney Calvin Elite @ 8oz
ZCO 4-20×50 MPCT1

Have gen3xr and mpct2 on hand and side by side now.

I’ll be running theta on AI because I have 5 different barrels and the tool less turrets are nice.

But as an overall package for a single or two caliber rifle, I think the is a better overall package. Zco still on my vudoo and future build.

If it were possible to have tool less turrets on zco, I’d never look back.

Oh and a right side parallax would be awesome.

I’m headed to the range in the morning to spend some time comparing the ZCO 5-27, ZCO 4-20 and TT 5-25.

Just from initially playing around with the ZCOs, I’m very impressed. I can see why some prefer it over the TT.

One thing of note that I found interesting that will annoy some of you super operators, but there are some here that geek out on this... between two TTs, the turrets feel different. I’m surprised by it. One feels super mechanical, knocked it out of the ballpark level turrets. The other not as good... more clunky than mechanical.

Same goes for the two ZCOs in my hand. One is super mechanical feeling. I friggin love it. It feels similar to the nice feeling TT.

I wonder if I can do something to the other to make it feel the same. I wonder if it’s a grease thing.

Anyhow, enough geeking on silly things and get on the important stuff.

Tracking tests and optical comparisons to be done shortly.

Do you find the zco easier to get behind?

The picture seems noticeably larger as well as the eyebox on the zco.

Not that the theta is bad. But the zco spoils me.

I've only spent time behind the ZCO 4-20. It's def easy to get behind and the image seems larger than other scopes? If that makes sense? The 5-27 showed up today.

That's a good reminder... I'll pay closer attention to that specifically tomorrow.

Spent some time today comparing the TT 5-25 and ZCO 5-27... fellas the ZCO is amazing!

Frankly, with regards to optical performance, I've only been able to spend time with them in bright sun, but I had a hard time seeing a difference except in that the TT had slightly more contrast and deeper blacks. But you have to sit there and really try and see any differences.

I got bored and just started shooting instead. :p

Gonna have to spend more time behind ZCO 5-27 before a review but absolutely stellar optic. Having a hard time deciding whether I prefer it or the TT and that in itself should say it all.

The real gem though, and what stood out the most today is the ZCO 4-20. This is a very special scope.

I bit on a 5-27 MPCT-2 yesterday. I told Richard that I thought he was a great guy, but my credit card had a slightly "different" opinion of him...... :cool:

Excited to receive/fondle it.......

I told you that zco420 was something different lol far and away the best “ultra short” on the market

OK, I have the "Ultimate Frustration/This Sucks" story of the month...........

So, I receive my 5-27 MPCT2 from CST (Thanks Richard and Mike !) yesterday. Paid extra stipend for overnight delivery, get it, mount it, everything's great ! Load up the truck last night for range day today. Have this funny feeling this morning that I should go onto my Range's website (I'm a member.....) and just make sure there are no closures.......

The range has been rented out for the next TWO WEEKS and it's closed to all but the "private party" that rented it. Two fucking weeks !

Yeah, there are other ranges and I'll go to one of them. They are all smaller and I think other members of my range may be doing the same thing, so I bet wherever I go, it'll be crowded.....

Initial impressions of the ZCO are very good. Love the turrets/controls. Didn't spend any real side by side time with the ZCO and my ZP5's, but IQ is at least as good as the ZP5's. CA appears to be nonexistant, just like the ZP5's. I will have to spend time with both to be able to determine if the ZCO is better in terms of IQ. If the ZCO is better, I don't think it will be by much. But, Good Gawd, the eyebox on the ZCO is massive ! You could park an F-250 in it and still have room leftover ! There is no question that the ZCO has a much larger eyebox, compared to the ZP5's.

I tend to think I will hold onto my ZP5's, instead of "upgrading" them to ZCO. I really do like the ZP5's. The turrets are definitely better on the ZCO, but the ZP5's aren't bad. Oh, and if I were buying new and thinking about the ZP5 vs the ZCO, I'd definitely spend the extra $400.00 and go with the ZCO. The ZP5 package deal going on right now might throw a pretty serious wrench into the works though....

I love the F-250 comment, that is the first impression when getting behind one, and not just the eyebox but the sight picture as well just feels huge.
