Can it be called Jellomold without grapes in it?

Since this is apparently a thing...

Can Jellomold exist without grapes in it? Or will it cause a Lutheran Reformation if someone makes it without grapes?

I mean... it's a pressing question.... Considered with wine, usually. Pressing. Wine? Get it?

Beyond maximum loads...Berger 185 gr. Juggernaut in 308

The rifle is a Remington 700 Varminter stock rifle...1:10 twist...26" fluted barrel. I want to work up a long range load for the Berger Juggernaut 185 grain bullets. I'll be loading Lapua brass with Federal Match primers. Seating depth YTBD. I have H4895, IMR 4895, IMR 4064 and Varget.

I understand that reloading manuals have upper limits on charge weight for liability reasons amongst other things. And I understand that no one is going to casually tell me to go beyond those limits. I'm doing some searches to get some idea about loads and see lots of folks who are exceeding Berger manual limits..

For example, with Varget, the Berger manual says that 41.6 gr. is their maximum load. But that is also an approximate maximum velocity of 2535 which might be a little slow to reach out to longer range targets. With the four powders mentioned above, the maximum velocity is from 2532 to 2604.

Then I run across the guy who says he's worked up to 44.2 grains of Varget with the Juggernaut (Lapua brass). That's a LOT more powder than the manual offers for the maximum charge.

Obviously one will look for pressure signs along the way but...do I need to be a good boy and stay below the maximum loads according to the manual (H4895 is 40.5, IMR 4064 is 41, IMR 4895 is 41.5 and again, Varget is 41.6)? Or can I start close to that maximum load and work beyond it?

I'd rather not load a bunch of rounds that I'll just have to take apart if I start seeing pressure signs right away while shooting at the range that is a half hour away.

And if anyone has their own pet loads for the Juggernaut for 308, I'd love to hear them.

Stuff you don't mix: ARC Rings, LPVOs, Wood Furniture, Suppressed Single Shot

Since I moved to all FFP on my comp/defense guns I found a perfect host for my K18i with flip-top elevation turret. The glass is too good to sell and the added value of being able to dial will work perfect for my 6.5CM #1. Likely a collaboration of parts that no one would say would look good, but I think it just...works. Honestly, I tried to find another forum category where this made more sense to post, but nothing really fit. I frequent the optics forum the most and thought it was worthy of a share. Prairie Dogs - South Dakota Report

Just got back from a 3 day shoot on the Rosebud Reservation.....Left Wisconsin on Monday and other than a severe thunderstorm in Sioux Falls, SD. everything went well. Tuesday was a washout as it rained on and off all day...So, we sat around all day. Wednesday we finally got out and we were on one of the biggest towns I have ever seen with dogs EVERYWHERE. Due to the rain out the day before we shot from about 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM and had a ball. Shot mostly 223 (53 gr Vmax) all morning and when the wind came up started with the 243 (87 GR Vmax) and 6MM AR (95 GR SMK). Even pulled out the 308 and 30-06 (both 168 GR SMK)....but I could not really call my shots due to the recoil. The second day of shooting was even better...a new town with not so many dogs...but sunny 68F and no wind.....the grass was pretty tall and you really had to be quick on the trigger before they got into the tall grass. The guide offered to let us stay an extra day due to the rain the first day (at no charge). We (my son and I) could not stay due to his work and other commitments. The guide did have a cancellation for two weeks from now....everything lined up and we took the three days. So will be going back out. My total round count for two full days was just over 950.

My son just got a 6MM Creed and I was really sceptical.....I mean I had all the dies etc. for my 243. I will say that with 107 and 115 grain Bergers that is one impressive round/rifle combo. My max range with the 243/6MM was about 700 yards and he was shooting 800 to 900 with ease.

Last year they were in a drought condition and this year they have got quite a bit of rain...and everything is so "green". Saw Mule Deer, Antelope and lots of Pheasants.

About 1,430 miles round trip (including driving to and from the towns) and 20.1 MPG with a Chevy Colorado Z71. Midgrade fuel was about $4.65 per gallon.

Is this really what to expect from Lapua brass?

I will admit, I am kind of shocked. I have read endlessly about how amazing Lapua brass is. So, I bought my first 100 box of 300 Norma Mag. It arrived today and I opened it expecting the world to look a little brighter. This is what I pulled out of a sealed box from a major reloading vendor. Did I just get a shit box that might have been through a plane crash on the way here? Or, is this typical?

SOLD OD Green ZCO 5-27 MPCT2

This scope has 3 matches of use and some slight rubbing through of the coating on the mag ring from use (wedding ring). This is an NLE model and the glass is perfect. I don’t beat on my gear, but the coating does show a small amount of wear which, if you use it, that is going to happen. Include caps, and sunshade, but not the rings. It will ship with all the original packaging.

Price is shipped/insured. No trades, this is only for sale because my second 8-40 is on the way from my boy Richard @CSTactical

If purchased by Tuesday evening it will ship out the day of or after payment. I will be in South Africa from 6-9 and won’t return home to ship it until 6-27. I will happily have a phone conversation with anyone that is interested prior to purchase.

Thanks

Dan
