I’m in the market for a scope mount. I have a perfectly good working HD gen II 4.5-27 that I plan on using on a new build.

Question: is the thickness of the mount hindering your ability to see the turrets?

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to reloading and I ran into an issue last night. I was full sizing some 6.5 creed brass and noticed a significant difference in the force required to run the press case to case. Will this cause more spring back in the neck or powder chamber or other variances I haven't thought about? I can't find a difference in the cases but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. If it helps, it's hornady brass in a lee full sizing die.

My problem is i live in southern Iowa and not to far from pella Iowa wear the 1000yd range was but now it's gone and i have no wear to shoot long range wear would i go to shoot?will travel some but not to far ya know. any help would be nice thank you bob koch.

Hello!

I’m new to long-range shooting, and while assembling a rifle, I was introduced to this forum via Google searches. I quickly found that these forums are a great knowledge repository and began adding “snipers hide” to my searches. I have found a great deal of factual and useful info here. I ended up here so often that joining made sense!

I’ve been involved with firearms since I was 10, but I haven’t known many people that share that interest, so I never got involved that heavily (I get bored doing it alone). Now that my kid has grown up, I have extra time on my hands, and my interest in shooting has renewed again. This forum connects me with others that share the same interest, and that’s awesome! So many cool handles here…I couldn’t think of one

I’m starting my journey with a Bergara 20” .308 and a Bushnell XRS3.

I’m in the market for a new bipod and I’m having some serious trouble coming to a decision. I’m currently running a Harris on a RRS arca mount. It’s been good to me, but I’m starting to outgrow its capabilities. I’ve heard good things about atlas, tier one, accu-tac, and MDT. Probably going to go with one of those brands but open to other suggestions. Looking for opinions on all of them, especially with regards to value (is the ckye pod really worth paying $900 for? lol) also what feet are people running

I have a couple of pounds of RL 26 that I want to use in a load for 6.5 Creedmoor. I have a little over 100 147 gr Eldm and 100, 140 gr Eldm that I've read have good results with RL 26. What benefit if any is there to loading a lighter bullet such as a 130 or 120 gr with RL 26? Is RL too slow-burning to be a good powder choice for lighter bullets?

For reference, my barrel is 24"

We all knew there was no "Insurrection."

So how do the fake news and fake politicians and fake 'revolutionaries' and fake charges... now handle the fact that under scrutiny, a few folks 'might' have trespassed.

And I'd argue that 'walking through the halls of the Capitol (OUR building) is NOT trespassing. But entering offices and stealing souvenirs probably 'is' trespassing. Or worse? But not locked up without trial for 4 years... worse.

Trespassing... well, we all knew it. DIdn't we?

So... what happens now? My guess is that the 'trespassers' stay locked up on false charges until something changes other than a SCOTUS decision. I doubt they have the power to require release of American political prisoners.

On the other hand... and here is something to consider. Pelosi and the Xiden thugs have now set a precedent. That political opponents can be locked up without trial for years. Merely if charged with something... bad sounding. So a new DoJ with a solid AG... Who is pro-American... could theoretically order the arrest and imprisonment of anyone who appears to have staged an 'insurrection' between 2017 and 2021. That list is long. That list includes a lot of people who are 'known' to have done some 'insurrectiony-things.' Faking evidence. Paying witnesses. Lawfare. Spying. Stealing elections. Defying military orders from civilian chain of command. All in the name of bringing down a sitting, duly-elected President. Which, if I read my Websters right, is the 'actual' definition of an insurrection.

ASGH... but precedents work both ways. Best way to avoid precedent-setting is to release all the J6 'trespassers' with an apology (and probably a big payout)... .and say "This should never have happened."

Because payback is a bitch. And can be used by both sides. Not that we should descend to that in America. We are better than that. But if that is the tactic being used against Americans. By communists, foreign powers and, well, insurrectionists with big financial backers and dreams of socialist paradises.

And it's time it works both ways.
