So I got my new to me KMW Sentinel, it’s the IMB Gen 1, I got super lucky when buying it, question I got for everyone what’s the go to barrel profile?

Heavy Palma is what Terry uses but some people order them to specific barrel types. The IMB aligns everything perfectly regardless.

Just a question , just fitted the Trigge lt Tech and my safety won’t engage. Is this a known issue and the stock needs relieving or have I done something wrong.

Did you ever get this resolved? What was the root cause of the issue, if so?

I haven’t resolved it yet. The rifle is going for a fresh barrel in a couple of weeks. It will need the mini chassis relieving to allow the safety to move all the way back. I decided against using a dremmel.

Mine ... pic on page 1 of thread ... is an Origin build. Works great. TT trigger. Proof CF barrel. I shoot it mostly suppressed. It is a great shooter at at manageable weight. And I love the look and feel. Kind of a do it all rifle in 308.

I decided against using a dremmel.

Very wise! I'm personally a one man disaster area with a Dremel tool. I can do serious damage in mere seconds! haha

Good evening.

Those are about a Medium Palma.

It is the smallest contour blank that Krieger would flute.
While I don't think fluted barrels shoot any better than non-flutted, I did want these rifles to be a bit more "dressy".

And... American, pro 2A business. I really want to love AI, but every dollar I spend in the UK supports the UK and their current state of affairs.

I can vouch for this. I called Terry about 2009. He “put me on the list” at about #12 iirc. Over the next two years I worked my way up to number 4 according to my annual call.

Then something happened. I stalled out. I suppose I’m still at #4?? Have not checked for a decade or so.

I am flattered that you would want to start a thread related to anything KMW, so Thank You for the kind thought.

Do not be too surprised if you get a low participation response to this thread.

Two primary reasons.
1: The vast majority of my rifle clientele are not SH members. Out of the few that are, most of those are not really "active" but rather in the
background.

2: KMW does not crank out a ton of rifles per year. I have other help in the shop but I am the only rifle builder. Some of the other shops with
several guys knocking out rifles will ship more in a month than I do in a year. This makes for a low saturation number in a large market.

Besides having a limited number of rifles I can build each year, my lane is actually very narrow.
I do not build PRS rifles and even though shit gets killed on a regular basis with KMW rifles, I don't build "hunting" rifles. Doing either or both would get 100 x more exposure on public forums.

KMW is blessed to stay very busy building rifles, stocks and lots of OEM hardware used by others. I appreciate the community as a whole allowing me to survive and grow.

I have been on the SH site for over 20yrs now. I appreciate @Lowlight putting up with the drama and BS that goes with this forum, so that we can share info as well as entertain oursel
