Ask Specifically to comment on the GLASS used in the Aus versus US version.
Interesting as the info my dealer has from Arken ( China) is that the coming Arken/DNT scopes will exceed ( Optically ) the samples i currently have.. The ones used in this thread..
Response when asked if the glass in the US and AUS models was sourced from the same manufacturer, applied the same coatings, and of the same quality.
If you do, before you send it, compare it to your's to know if it's a fluke, or if the glass is just as sharp and clear as your current one.
If that's the case, I might get you to wait, and send one of those new "Super Arken" 7-35x with that cool Australian reticle when yall get them...
They are incorrect on the FDE option.
They are most definitely available.

Still waiting on my S&B,s to come back from repair in Germany........ So....
My dealer here in Aus ( Delta Tactical ) has just received stock of the DNT ( DNT/ARKEN) 7-35,s.
I have been very happy with the performance of the "Arken" 7-35 ( hence this thread ) , so i ask my dealer to send me out 3 of the DNT 7-35,s as they by all info are supposed to be an improvement on the Arken 7-35.
Surprise also...the DNT is "Cheaper" than the "Arken" ...
Oh... the DNT has the SAME MPR reticle as the "Aussie" Arken has ....its now called "TOR" its a great reticle!!
Received the DNT,s from Danny a few days ago...
The packing is excellent...... the scope is fully encapsulated on HD foam...a nice touch.
The scopes are very well made and finished. A few changes form the "Arken" Different knurling on turrets , Bold larger fonts . Windage zero now offset for better view, Added power ring thumb assist, Very nice feeling turrets and parallax.
To the guts of it........ Optically they are indeed better than the Arkens ....slightly sharper and a little more contrast ...
Mounted a unit on 3 of my Desert Tech,s .. HTI with 375CT conv...SRS with 300WM conv. The 3rd is going on my other HTI with the 50BMG conv.
Windy day today so just a sight in and Zero at 110yds..
3 shot group from the 375CT and 5 shot group from the 300WM..
Friday i have a group of people coming up and all 3 DNT,s will be put to the test at ranges up to 3000yds on my range.
So far.. these DNT,s defy their price tag !!!

I don't disagree with his assessment. It ain't horrible for a 4x but at 11" its a pretty badass versatile scope. I am not aware of anything that beats it in that package currently
The zco 420 is optically superior 100%.
The turrets imo are the biggest draw back to zco. Setting the zero on the zco turrets is a pita for a two screw design.
The locking design is also a joke. You either get one that locks and unlocks well or you don't and your paying for it to get fixed if it's one that sucks itself back down and partially locks mid stage.
Reticles are meh the 1 and 2x ain't bad
I have definitely been referred to as worse in my life lol. Love all the ca around the left edge. Must be a feature Arken seems to have not compromised on looking at the pics in this thread
Y'know, I just sprang for Alpha Glass (a Zeiss V8 1.8-14). I also have an Arken EP8 that I got for 1/10th of what that Zeiss usually retails for. Is the Zeiss better? Yeah. Is it 10x better? Lol. No.
You can get a lot of scope for your money these days. A $700 scope is probably 3/4ths as good as a $3k/$4k optic. You spend a LOT for that last 25-30% that in truth, most of us don't need.
"Truth dart", as a certain Guntuber says. Most of us could get by just fine with an Arken.

Nah, the "shooterus Uterus" is not ideal for most people. Honestly, it's entirely too busy for someone with as much ADD as I have. However, the MPCT 3X is a really nice reticle... You take the MPCT 3 and give it a hysterectomy... MUCH better, no chance of unwanted monetary drains.
Do you have any I2 clip-ons?
If so, I'd be curious how the Arken compares to the SB U/S or other top tier day optics at a decent distance (600m or so).
If not, maybe a low light comparison (assuming that's not somewhere already in this thread - havent read through it all)...
Given all those rifles/scopes you have, I'd grab a clip on (I2 and/or LR thermal) if I were you so you can enjoy them day or night.

I now have several hours behind the Arken 7-35 in various lighting and environmental conditions. In bright sunlight with minimal mirage the glass performs quite well but does fall off rather quickly in more challenging conditions. Eye box is better than first reported and tracking has been spot on through 13 mils. There is a very minimal feel of “wobble” when spinning the turrets that is not present once dialed. All in all I have no complaints for the cost and would purchase another if it fit my needs and target budget.
The comparison to top tier glass is not a fair one despite what is being voiced. Moving from the Arken to anything in the upper echelon is immediately apparent; especially in eye comfort.
In direct comparison with the Bushnell Match Pro ED, all 5 of us felt they were very close with a slight edge in resolution, clarity, and brightness going to the MPED. The consensus amongst our group came down to cost - the Arken if saving a couple hundred and the MPED if at the same price point.

I recently looked through an Arken SH4 6-24....and it looked like crap....soft and washed out ......even for the lower price I wouldn't use it.
This was the non "J" version....so 100% Chinese glass .
If your US 7-35 looks ANYTHING like the SH4....then it looks nothing like these samples of the 7-35 here.

I think it's pretty clear (pun not intended, but if it works...), whatever Arken tells us, the optical quality of the scopes in Oz is somewhat better than what they throw us here in the states. You can just about tell that from OP's pics, especially when you account for artifacts of the imagery through a camera.
When I get a chance I’ll take and post some through scope photos of mine. I don’t think anything is different except for the reticle. The 7-35 is just a better scope optically than the other Arken models.
The Arken series of scope represent good value for money in my opinion. There is however an overwhelming amount of evidence as to why the various military units stick with proven glass. Schmidt and Bender, Nightforce and Leupold all have skin in the game, if i absolutely needed to depend on a scope i know what i would choose and it wouldn't be made in China. Luckily i shoot in a club environment and not on a two way range.
If you want to talk about 100% Dependable and 100% Reliability , ...then from my personal ownership and experience its easily .... "Nighforce ATACR "
The Arken/DNT hasnt been in my ownership / use long enough to form an opinion on reliability and dependability... but so far so good with them....time will tell.
