Gotta love those shorty 308 barrels.

The new AT-XC in Sage Green Top and AT-X Elite Sand lower. Pretty close
I'm pretty confused with the colors they're using for their stock photos with this color. I thought the reason elite sand was discontinued was because the color matching was inconsistent. But here we have 3 different sage greens from Mile High's website?

Just the ramblings of someone that is probably going to buy a green ATX chassis regardless.

Is the forend longer on the AT-XC? I thought the AT-X could take an 18" barrel.

Yes, I believe it's longer than the AT-X. According to the literature/specs on the AT-XC the forend clearances 20" and longer barrels. I pulled a tape on the forend and it looks like it's right at 18" long so it's possible an 18.5" barrel would clear with a can on the end.

Sage green can really look different depending on lighting. Here is the same exact gun in different lighting.

@FUNCTIONAL thanks for the pics! That isn't all that much different than the color of my elite sand rifle. Maybe I was expecting it to be more like the old AI or Sako green.
It’s nowhere near Sako green or TacOps ODG. I think it’s pretty true to the name similar to older USAF issue sage green.

Hey guys, for you AXSR owners, any of you run the MLOK forend? Any issues with interference with the factory AXSR barrel?

If you have M-Lok accessories, they will need to be pulled before swapping barrels.

Fastest path is to pull the forend when swapping barrels instead do each M-lok accessory.

@DLOW666 is there a specific reason you're wanting the mlok rail if you have the fitment concerns? You get like 4 or 5 pic rail sections with the AXSR in the box if you need to attach stuff.
I was just weighing the mlok option vs the factory Key slot as I already have a bunch of mlok accessories . I don’t have any issue with the Key slot but I also like the mlok options. I don’t have the rifle yet, and I wasn’t aware it came with key slot rails. it should be delivered within a couple of weeks. I was told the mlok accessories may interfere with the barrel and I appreciate the feedback. Nice to hear from people that have first hand knowledge.

As said, they don't really interfere with the barrel itself, only the removal/installation process. The diameter of the chambered area is too large to slide in or out past the m-lok inside attachments. Once the barrel is installed, there shouldn't be any interference, so other than when changing barrels you should be fine. Your options when changing the barrel are to either remove the m-lok attachments first, or the forend (but then it may not slip over certain muzzle brakes, so...still a pain.

I agree that with the key-slot pic rail sections provided with the gun, it's a much better solution to just go that route.
