Finally finished, managed to convert the fixed AT to folding and get the AW skins on….

Now for a 6.5x47L and 6GT barrel
Green skins look great! You oughta’ consider drilling one more hole in the fore end and one for the barrel clamp- it’s really not a big deal.

Where did you find the hinge in the end?

Who you going to get to do your barrels?
There's a few people in NZ with AIs now, it'd be nice to find someone who can start offering prefits, or can at least chamber barrels without needing to send them the rifle.

Huh? For AT barrels you can order prefits or have them chambered without sending in rifle. Unless I’m mistaken on your question here

Totally get where you’re coming from! You don't have to like my gun. What mods or setup would you throw on your gun to make it a winner with multicam?
Now, I quite like your paint job. Dead serious. And I own a R700 in 204 that I love. So I’m not at all looking down upon you.

And know that it’s sort of a meme here to poor-shame, which most do as a joke. I hope.

There’s a guy here that likes to tweak us by posting a setup like yours just to see who catches it. But he also owns an AI ( the type with an AI action), so he kinda gets a “joke” pass.

Anyway, posting an AI chassis containing a R700 action in this thread is like posting a Tikka factory stock with a R700 action in it in the Tikka thread?

I’m trying not to sound like a dick, but probably failing.

I’ll use Murphs Precision Rifles in Marlborough. Will let you know how it goes

no offense taken! This used to be my marketing piece years ago when I had my gunsmith shop (also did cerakote and hydro). The only thing stock on the 700 is the action (which I trued) and bolt assy. I could not justify paying big bucks for a custom action when I could fix a Remington out of the box.

I am sure R700's are a dime a dozen in an AI thread. They make a great Chassie. Even better rifles. For some reason I thought this was an AICS thread and not an AI thread. Now that my dysfunctional syndrome has calmed down I see that lol.

Thanks guys. I understand now.

If you like the G3 reticle, I think it's a great option. But you do only get one reticle option.

Now back on topic.... What ball ammo shoots best out of an AI? 😉

Ball ammo? Surely you jest sir.......

Ah yea... Let's take a look see here Cletus....
No suppressor check...
Butler Creek caps check....
Caldwell knock off of a Harris bipod... Check...
Miss matched fudd ammo check....
Bolts on the wrong side of the gun check....
Hole in single wide skirt in the foreground check....
No Arken....Fail
No $10k truck with $25k of lift and wheels in view....fail
Possibly could have gotten more multicam per sq in there ....half credit....

Overall score is dependant on proof of back child support in arrears but you got @BurtG POS awm beat by a solid can of colt 45 and a swisher

The fact your trigger is 187.43% more reliable than the axsr......

Solid consolation price

Yikes, this was a rough one.... but true....

Yea the rifle looks fine, nothing wrong with it except that it's in here. Scroll back some pages and you'll see it's not picking on you specifically lol.

This is a place for real AIs.

indicating I can pay for any college my children want in cash
Don’t make it too easy for them

Children need the gift of struggle.

Half the problem with this country is kids that haven’t worked at all till they are 18 or in some cases 22 -28
you are molded when you are young.

If we keep letting this AI but not really AI nonsense infiltrate our minds eventually we’ll be seeing pics of AICS Savage 10’s

At that point it’s time to close the thread as all hope has truly vanished
AICS savage is truly the best of both worlds.

Get the classic AI look and ruggedness, exceptional accuracy, at a lower price. Just as good as the real thing.

Top it off with a Mark 5 Leupold in a Spuhr mount, and you'll have a top notch sniper system!

I actually had an AICS for my Savage 10 way back when MHSA was blowing them out. The chassis was still worth more than the rifle 🤣

Since this is a pic thread, here’s a pic of the AXSR 300nm (bottom first pic) at a club match in VA today. Hit a cold bore challenge and collected a bag of cash. 4”x8” steel gnome (greenish blob) at 1067 yards from one mountain top to another. $5 for 1 cold bore attempt per match. Based on the amount, there were about 90 attempts this summer and fall.

Two gratuitous fall blue ridge mountains scenery pics.

Buy some cheap asian ammo. It'll match your Vortex.
Can confirm as someone who feeds his AI almost exclusively 140gr AAC ammo.

Awesome. Now that’s a different match.

That’s not Majorlands sniper cup is it ?

Is that the same place or same match that has a lot of long range stuff. Called soldiers something or the other
Don’t think so. The targets are 400-1100 yards and -6 to -15 deg angle.
I’ve been told that moccasin place that hosts ELR matches is just “the other side of the mountain” but I’ve never been there.

But the gun is on the ground. It can get dirty like that. Half these kids here are still making payments on their Credova accounts. Showing pics like this might encourage them to lower their resale value! Shame.

(Awesome pics though man)

I sit in my paid off home, having driven there in my paid off car, and I put down my financial statements indicating I can pay for any college my children want in cash, so I can go do some DFAT dry fire with my AI AT and my Leupold MK5 5-25x56mm with Illuminated TMR reticle.

Work hard. Save a lot. Buy whatever you want.
