    Re: Question for you Grooved receiver guys. Any time you add an adapter they get too high. I would look for rings that'll go on directly. Mine are european so I use 11mm or 13mm groove rings from either leupold or burris.

    Re: 40x in 17HMR? Never had this done. But that would be a new barrel replacement threaded for the 40X, chambered and extractor cuts. Can do a cone type cut to replace the extractor cuts, but the smith has to know what he's doing. Unless your doing something special, I would go anschutz...

    Re: Bedding job I have bedding jobs from Marintex and Decon for 8 years. All but one are pillar bedding and one is Vee block bedded. Just wiped it off. No cracking or softening from oil or cleaners yet.

    Re: 40x recomendations +1 on the Lilja 4 groove. You have a choice of a tight bore or standard bore from Lilja. Don't forget about considering an anschutz 5018 trigger with a briley adaptor bracket.
