    First .22 setup (try #2)

Re: First .22 setup (try #2) If your just looking for accuracy and usability, either CZ or Savage will do just fine. If your going for more refined looks, go with the CZ; which, has better fit and finish. If your looking to save some money and not skimp on accuracy, go with the Savage...

    308 Subsonic drop calc

Re: 308 Subsonic drop calc Sounds good, around moa sounds good enough for me and it would be nice to have a little quieter round sometimes. I'm going to load some up and give'em a try. Unfortunatly no cans are permitted here in Michigan. Thanks for the info.

Got my progressive BUT what dies

Re: Got my progressive BUT what dies I use Lee pistol dies with the FCD in my Hornady LNL progressive. They work good; Lee dies can definitely get the job done.

    308 Subsonic drop calc

Re: 308 Subsonic drop calc Bowhunter, For your sub loads do you use any kind of case filler? Also, do you use large rifle primers or large pistol? I'm have some of the Hornady 150's and I use Titegroup for most of my plinking pistol loads so I'm interested to try and make a .308 subsonic...

    Daughters Christmas Present update 8-27-2012

Re: Daughters Christmas Present is coming along That is some extremely impressive shooting! It always makes me smile to see pictures of younger generations shooting (especially when they shoot like that). Very cool to see the evolution of that gun too.

    308 with 110 vmax's

Re: 308 with 110 vmax's I am also curious how light bullets like this would work with a 1 in 10" twist.

    help select scope

Re: help select scope The only Mueller I've had is the Tactical(3-10 x 44 MD); but, I've had it on multiple guns and It has functioned flawlessly. It has crisp adjustments and always returns to zero. I even had it on a .243Win and it worked great / no issues. Good luck with your choice!

    Mil dot scope for .22LR

Re: Mil dot scope for .22LR I have a 3-10 x 44 Mueller Tactical on my Ruger 77/22Hornet (I know it's not a rimfire...) and It works great. I also use a SWFA 10x SS scope and it works very well. The 10x SS has lots of adjustment, it's a 30mm tube (quite clear too) and it has parallax...

My worst day yet of reloading, feel free to share

Re: My worst day yet of reloading, feel free to share I know how frustrating it can be getting stuck cases like that; I ruined a couple sizing dies when I first started loading for the .300WM. Two things I found to help were: Imperial Sizing Wax And the Innovative Technologies Belted...

    FGMM load

Re: FGMM load I'm sure you already thought of it; but, the exact powder charge required will depend on the brass your using.

Need help selecting scope for CZ Varment

Re: Need help selecting scope for CZ Varment There are a lot of options out there but I have used a SWFA 10X on one of my .22's for a while and it worked great for the 50-150 yard ranges. I just shot at 150yds with this scope last week and could see my hits that were in the white part of the...

    Another Adjustable Cheek Piece

Re: Another Adjustable Cheek Piece I tried to search for the post with pic from your CZ but I couldn't find it. Do you have a link from when you took the pics of how you did the CZ? The one thing I don't have is a scroll saw or band saw... I do have a coping saw but I don't know if I could...

    Another Adjustable Cheek Piece

Re: Another Adjustable Cheek Piece Those both look good. Im going to search for the post that details how it was done. I found This I just don't have sufficient tools to do this... Looks like it would work great for anyone that does though.

    Two Questions

Re: Two Questions The answer to your first question will depend on the resistance between the case neck and the projectile. What I do with my rounds is to cut 3 or 4 very thin slits in the neck of the case to create a collet. Doing this allows you to easily adjust the tension; and, it is...

AUG. 2011 SH 100 TO 300 YARD RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Re: AUG. 2011 SH 100 TO 300 YARD RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS I am unable to shoot from prone @ 100yds due to the landscape; so, I shot from 135yds (and still had a hard time seeing above the grass). I was shooting Wolf MT ammo using a bipod up front. There was only a slight breeze but I don't think...

What powder scale is everyone using?

Re: What powder scale is everyone using? I have a Lyman 1000 XP; which, doesn't seem to be one of the best scales but, it does work pretty good if you keep re-zeroing it. I use it mostly for getting my getting my powder charge set up (a lot quicker). For weighing my powder charges (after...

powder funnel, anyone ever used this one??

Re: powder funnel, anyone ever used this one?? I started out with the Lee 'one size fits all' funnel, which works well enough to start with. I then got the Frankford Arsenal funnel kit listed above. It is very nice to have a perfect fit for each caliber and I have had no problems with mine.
