    Remington 700 torque specs

I use 65 inch pounds on several HS stocks with aluminum bedding and about half that on all plastic adl style stocks. Haven’t had any issues

    New and stupid mistake

I’ve got em stuck before too. It does suck but I haven’t hurt one yet. Usually can pull the rod out and squirt more solvent down to the patch and get it to push on through. But I have had to push the rod through the muzzle to get it out as well. Slow and carefully I don’t think you would...

Rifle Scopes new and need recommendations

A vortex pst is a pretty solid starter/ budget scope. I run two of them right with my nightforce and have no issues. I’ve never owned a Burris xtr II but sounds like they would be solid for the money too. Seems like your considerations for your budget are on the right track. As mentioned...

Are Muzzle Brakes Really That Loud to Range Neighbors?

They are loud but I use them and so does most people I shoot around. There is a bit of concussion if someone is close enough but not a big deal I dont feel like. Just get further away if need be. We always wear hearing protection for the loud part. Biggest perk of a brake is reduced recoil...

RCBS Rockchucker spent primers going everywhere

Good to know thanks for the tip. I’m used to just sweeping them up every now in then and flicking the tray that comes with them often to keep from getting clogged up. Might have to try this option. Sounds much more convenient.

    Hunting & Fishing 2017 whitetail

Stud of a buck man. Same thing happened to me several years ago. Had one jump the string shot him high, back on camera a few weeks later and got him during muzzleloader season.

    Information about primer pocket size

Once you load for a while you’ll be able to tell small or large by looking at them. You could likely look at Norma’s website for detailed info or google it. But to save you time... you want large rifle magnum primers. In general smaller short action calibers such as 223 etc use small rifle...

    Nra email about yeti coolers

I’ve never felt the need to spend that much money on a cooler. But if I did I would go with the local guys USA made right here in Sparta, TN Orion brand. Same guys that make Jackson kayaks. They are just as good confirmed by guys that mow lawns for a living who’s coolers stay out in the sun...

A Brand New shooter: What should I be using for trajectory?

I started out with the $10 shooter app. Still use it. It will get you close enough to begin learning. I’ve set up shooter for a couple buddies that don’t shoot much. Get dope at a couple ranges and adjust velocity accordingly. Good place to start for $10

    Factory ammo for 6.5cm

I’ve ran Hornady 140 eld match through the chrono a several times lately. Out of a 24” barrel I’m getting just over 2700 with a 14 fps es on average out of several 5 shot groups. My rifle really likes this stuff out to 650 yards which is as far as I’ve tested so far

    What caliber should I get?

I would likely go with 6.5 creedmoor but heck there’s a bunch of calibers out there to fit your needs/ wants. Boils down to personal preference

    Krylon

I usually test and see how easily it will come off and base it on that. The barreled action paint has normally came off pretty easily for me. Stocks seem to hold the paint better so I usually just spray over the old color

    Krylon

I debated lightly sanding down the edges a bit. I’ll try that next time

    Krylon

I done a grayboe. It stuck really well. Wiped it down with alcohol or something of that sort to clean. Then used the expensive blue painters tape to cut out patterns. Didn’t take long at all to dry. Waited maybe thirty minutes between colors. No paint peeled off. Lines are sharp. Then...

Gap Hospitaller built on Surgeon/Manners question?

Pretty sure they do skim bed the mini chassis. Likely action and first inch or so of barrel. That’s where it would be easy to spot without pulling the action is first inch of barrel. They use marine Tex according to their website which would look like the black putty you seen
