Hi Guys,
I bought the 110 last november and been trying to get a load for it lined out. Ive tried 300 OTM, 250 SMK, 300SMK, and 285HHP. Used PPU and Lapua Brass. CCI and 215M primers. RX25,US869, Retumbo, and 8700 powder. Ive jumped and jammed the bullets, tried Forster, Redding, and RCBS dies. I cant get this thing to shoot consistant good groups. Does anyone out there have a good load for their FCP-HS? Im ready to take my plasma cutter to the barrel!

Mine seems to like 88.8 grains of h1000 10 thou off the lands and 94 grains of retumbo. Barrel seems to like to shoot better cool take 10 or 15 mins to shoot a 5 shot group. also try dry firing 3 or 4 times before you break each shot.

Thanks aloreman, I will try backing off the lands again and see what happens. So far my best luck has been just touching the lands. Will try your load and a few others next week and see what it does.

I tinkered with 250 SMK's and 300 Scenars using Retumbo, RL 22 and H1000.

My brass is Lapua and I always use Fed 215's. I played with the distance off the lands and it performed best touching the lands.

The H1000 grouped well between 88 and 89.5gr. My best groups were at 89.5 grains on the lands and it was shooting under 1/2 MOA at 300 yards. I settled on 88.5 as I was getting pressure with the 89gr through 90 gr loads and surprisingly velocities did not increase commensurately with the heavier charge.

88.5 is giving me 1/2 MOA with 2700 fps using the 300 gr Scenar.

Are you sure you don't have a fouling issue? These are big mags and high velocities and some can copper foul quite a bit.

I did a very careful barrel break in going through about 25 rounds. I started with one round and THOROUGHLY clean for 10 rounds. I used Butch's Bore Shine, patched it and let it soak then nylon brushed it 20 strokes and patched it. I repeated that process twice between each of the first ten shots. Then I shot a couple 3 shot groups and clean, then a couple 5 shot groups and clean.

Got some loaded up now time for the range, maybe next week and see what comes of it. Will do the shoot and clean Again! Maybe that will help.. Just not enough time in the day for everything.. Plus I've been playing with the subgun and a new 1911..
