My wife and I saw this opening day (Friday). It's about a guy who gets cancer and how he deals with it. The movie is incredibly funny, as Seth Rogen plays the lead's best friend. There were a number of scenes where the whole theater was laughing at the ribald humor.

Still, it was a powerful movie about living with cancer. My father passed last year from colon cancer and this movie really did the subject matter justice. A couple scenes certainly choked me up.

Go out and see this movie with your wife/gf. If you've close to someone who's had cancer, then this movie will really hit home for you. Check it out, it's the best money I've spent on a movie in a long time.

Re: 50/50

Might have to check it out. Sorry to hear about your father, my condolences. My grandmother was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) last march, so i guess we're going through the whole process of how to deal with watching her whither away so to speak. It's certainly hard she's 78 and while she's anemic, tired, and fragile she still has her snappy attitude which is nice to see.

Just got out of the theater. Your right really hit home. Was a brilliant movie. Emotional, funny, but at the same time kept coming back to reality of the situation in a very realistic and relative manner. I heard the same Sled.
