They listened to some of the complaints. I’ll give them that. If the AT-XC action feels like my AXSR, then I’d call that a success. If it feels better, it’s a big win. If it supports short magnums, I’ll probably buy it.

My ATX & AXSR bolts feel dramatically different. It’s not going to shatter the earth but it will change customer purchasing patterns.Bolt sounds like it's a scaled down AXSR. The AXSR feels a little different to operate than the AT, but not earth shatteringly different. If I had to describe it the bolt pulls forward slightly when closing (CAM on close might be the right description?). And like the AXSR bolt isn't backwards compatible I'd guess the ATXc isn't either.
Any insight on pricing yet? If normal ATX pricing was $5200 before they put them on sale, safe to assume north of $6k with the added accessories and the new”ish” AXSR styled action?
I'd expect pricing around what an AX used to be. Could always be wrong, but I think that's pretty safe bet.
Still over 13lbs… I seen no discernible improvement other than another AI product with glacial parts/support and bolts that probably won’t cross over to any previous modelsLooks like they made some machining cuts to either side of the action to lighten the action.

I think you'll be better off finding a black one and painting, VS waiting a year for one from AI!I wonder if MH/EO will sell that dark earth folding hinge as an accessory, so that I can stick it on my gen 3.
This right here. They aren’t hard to take apart and put back together. Just take pics along the way. AI would probably scold you for doing it but not hard. I had my AXSR stock cerakoted to match my ATX.I think you'll be better off finding a black one and painting, VS waiting a year for one from AI!
Assuming that’s the base model? Without bridge/hinge and weights?Looks like $6500 ish for new AT-X variants. Ballpark.

I’m assuming Mil/LE model will be a decent amount more?
Do we know for a fact if production is discontinued on the AT and AX 308 models? Or will AXSA still be available?Guys,
The US version is not like any of the UK models shown above. Those were released on the AIUK site. It is closest to the comp/pro model. The US model is to be 6crd or 6.5 crd only (26 and 24" respectively, threaded and capped), and at the $6500ish price will INCLUDE the top bridge, rail and hinge. Hopefully after shot show we will have the actual part #s and be able to take backorders. 4 color options red/blk/sage green/dark earth
The pics of the dark earth above are the closest to production rifle
First deliveries of the ATXC are to be april.

Asking because here it states the mil/LE model will replace the AT and AX 308. Will that be the only low end option for a factory 308? Since the model you state above is only 6/6.5 for US
Also will the Mil/LE model be available in US? Or to civilians in general

Call EO or MHSA, they have them
Mile high still has blue and red in stock at the 4200 sale price.$6500 for the least expensive AI...
AI is crushing dreams here... I was thinking I was on my way to not being poor, but AI confirms that I am still poor.

I wonder if the AT-X MIL has the lightening cuts on the receiver the same as the AT-XC? I don't see from the pictures on AI's website the MIL version opposite the bolt...
Yeah mine as well, also wondering if the MIL is bonded. In the Comp/Pro model they go out of their way to say:My guess would be that it doesn't.
However this is missing on the MIL version. Now, I called AINA last year asking about bonding the action into the chassis and they said "no"."The non-bonded barrelled short action is"
Can y’all find out what the holdupGuys,

I left the AI booth @ SHOT and they mentioned the new Gen 4 will use a new receiver/bolt that WONT interchange w previous models.Id' say you're right. Now the real question....will it be backwards compatible with AT-X's, or are the current owners going to be left out in the cold?
Will prefit barrels still headspace the same?I left the AI booth @ SHOT and they mentioned the new Gen 4 will use a new receiver/bolt that WONT interchange w previous models.
I am guessing the answer is "YES", but we won't know until someone asks directly, or else they chime in here. Though the bolt and receiver are different, I expect the tennon dimensions are likely the same for the barrels - but who knows if they decided to change that as well at the same time...Will prefit barrels still headspace the same?
Somebody should probably also ask about the new actions bedding block/surfaces.I am guessing the answer is "YES", but we won't know until someone asks directly, or else they chime in here. I think one thing they posted in the AT-XC thread is the new action uses 6 bolts instead of 4 in the AT-X.Somebody should probably also ask about the new actions bedding block/surfaces.
If you look close in the picture, you'll see that the "new" action is bolted into an AT-X chassis.I think one thing they posted in the AT-XC thread is the new action uses 6 bolts instead of 4 in the AT-X.
Like an AXSR...In another thread, a guy at shot said that AI had removed the firing pin assembly from the new AT-XC. So no ideas to what the dynamic bolt feel is gonna be.
That’s the quickloc screw…that does not hold the action to the chassisIf you look close in the picture, you'll see that the "new" action is bolted into an AT-X chassis.
Hell no. They got me the first time. Not again. So who’s actually gonna drop the coin on this “new” ATXC once it hits? think I saw street price around $6500? Big jump and trying to see where the extra $ really goes

Nobody round here has an axsr to play with, personal or retail! My friends ain't that rich!Like an AXSR...
