Guess my system failed me again. At-x needs sent back for warranty work.

As I unboxed it and made some adjustments. I pulled the cheekpiece off and the clamp bar broke and fell out. Not a big deal, but I really wish AI would just send me the part that broke instead of me needing to send the rifle in and waiting. Sucks to have to wait, but maybe I'm just bad luck since this is my 2nd new AI that failed and needed fixed. I didn't want to post anything until I heard back from AI, again I was asking for a new clamp bar that I could install.

It's a gen3 and the piece that broke in half is the clamp bar that sits under the thumb screw.

Fixed it temporarily until I get the buttstock back from AI. Now just need to swap scope rings for a mount to get it higher. O'well is what it is.

Bro just do it right and pull the action and put it in a vision chassis and put that atx in the trash 🤣

anyone point me to another vendor for the Anarchy Outdoors thumbrest?

They're out of stock for the AT right-hand version. That's the last thing I'll need to complete this thing and I want it NOW!!!! :ROFLMAO:
Mile High carries them but it looks like they're out of stock as well.

Optics Planet says 4-6 weeks but we all know that might mean 2 years...

You have the winning combo. Don’t let all these NF and ZCO croc wearing dudes tell you any different.
I unfortunately don't think I'd ever be able to afford or justify having a NF or ZCO.. as much as I would like one.

Be lucky if I manage to get another rifle without the wife kicking off 😅

Lol I haven't been there yet with my AI but I have with a loose suppressor and feel the pain.

On another note, I used to have consistency issues at the AIs 49lbs and started using a fix it stick at 55# and never had an issue. I've wondered if AIs 49# spec is for dry threads, I typically like a very light coat of a grease on my threads and the extra few lbs helped me.
I switched to 65 when I still had axsa. No issues yet. Axsa were known to have too much glue around the clam shell.

It took me YEARS and going the custom route many times before I got my AT and the Vortex G2

My wife told me I am never, ever ever ever allowed to sell it. She will probably bury me with it.

I love my AT. The only reason at this time i could possibly think as to why i might move it on is because i want to get another Long Action Rifle for some ELR at some point in the future... to save on buying two lots of glass, i might consider selling the AT and buying a MC... maybe.

Keep the AT and save for the MC. You’ll be thankful later in. One of the guys in here has the exact setup @hafejd30

This AT is the one rifle I’ll never sell. No plans to sell the MC either but it comes down to it the AT still is king in this castle

Save for the MC or SR

I just removed the action and then found out because of the way they milled the trigger housing that I can’t remove the trigger past a certain point or it hits the bottom of the trigger guard. But it works. View attachment 8053920
I've got the flat shoe here, been sitting on it for about 6 months... Don't want to pull the rifle apart to put it in. Being lazy... Even considered shortening the flat blade to slip it in, still assembled.

Good looking rifle.

Thanks man, I didn’t want to pull it apart either. But @TheGrabiod gave me some advice after I already did. But I think it would work if you slide the stock trigger shoe forward. Then pull the trigger and can use something to keep the trigger in the “fired” position then slide the old shoe off and new shoe on. Or you can curse the rear action bolt to death like I did until I found a 5/32 ball head driver.
