Sounds like she is showing the blame for her sloppy work to the prop supplier. I kinda doubt that she ordered dummy ammo and got blanks and ball ammo in the same package when she picked up the gear , and even so its kinda her job to check.

Have you seen Baldwin in Miami Blues? He was actually pretty good in that one. Of course, he was playing a delusional asshole with a strong violent streak, so the role probably came pretty naturally to him.

Once they are loaded and primed with the dummy primers its near impossible to distinguish ,live from dummy if they are loded with same components .as only thing really missing is the powder , dummy primers look the same as real ones.. But is don't think the screen requires such authenticity to them, would think lathe turned 'snap caps' would serve as dummy rounds to be absolutely safe.
I am not buying the supplier delivered mix , someone brought live ammo to the set separately for plinking around in spare time . Remember this was a low budget B rated production, corners were cut at every turn. they literally played a Russian roulette till someone's luck ran out.
