Rifle Scopes AMG 6-24 EBR7B

Before anyone mentions it, I used the search bar. Typing vortex or AMG brought up thousands of post/threads.

Anyways how are you AMG EBR7B users liking the scope/reticle for PRS?

Specs seem to be on par with the k624i minus the rev indicator. FOV are the same too.

(Sorry I’m not trying to make this a AMG vs k624i. I know someone’s going to mention glass quality. I used to own a k624i LSW AMR.)

I’m just curious how the AMG EBR7B has performed for users in PRS matches.

I love mine. I actually sold my Kahles to get it. But it was SKMR 2. I had problems with CA in the Kahles but I think it was still a great scope.

That’s good to hear. Do you happen to have any pics of your reticle through the scope?

I have 2, the older reticle and the newer with center dot/ .2 holds off center. They're great Scopes, lightweight and do exactly what I need them to in a prs setting. That being said I would like to check out the new zero compromise, call me a gear whore. I like new shiney things?

The overall package of the ZCO looks nice but I don’t like the Christmas tree ret they have. The 4-20x with the non-Christmas tree ret looks pretty nice.

It's almost identical to the new AMG reticle, Nightforce mil C would be another good choice if you don't like the cluster

the ebr 7b is great, my comp rifles are either mr4 (minox) or ebr7b...they are really similar and i can swap between either without much adjusting

I have 3 S&B scopes, a Kahles 624i SKMR 3, and Vortex AMG on my main long range rifles. The Schmidt’s and the Kahles image just seems to “pop” much more than the AMG but I’m torn between liking the EBR-7B reticle more than the H2CMR but liking the Schmidt’s and Kahles image quality. I can't tell any difference in image resolution between any of these scopes, but the AMG's color and contrast is more muted than the others. The feel of the clicks in the AMG turrets is great and the size of the turrets is perfect. The Kahles K624i does have more chromatic aberration than the S&Bs or the AMG but I only notice it when I'm looking for CA, it doesn't matter when I'm shooting a match. I think the EBR-7B and the SKMR3 reticles are great for match shooting and equally functional.

Overall, the AMG is a great scope in a lightweight package and in this quality range, it's the only made in USA scope.
