Anybody shooting the 155 smk2156 w/ 1:11.25

Just ordered the 2156 smk 155 palmas. Pushing the 175's (2275) 2760 fps with 22" bartlein w/48.0 2000 mr. Figured I could probably get close to 2880 with a little higher charge. If anyone is running them out of a 11.25 twist how do they handle. Rifle is a GAP Crusader

8208xbr is your ticket for that bullet. I was at 2900 out of a 24" Bartlein @ 45.4 grains. The bullet likes to jump, alot, so be forewarned.

That's good information. Just ordered some of these and am going to try them in my 1:10 24" Criterion barrel. I've been told that the 175 gr SMKs like to jump .02 and that seems to shoot best in my barrel. Also have some of the Berger 185 gr BTHPs and I've read that they like to be touching the lands. If that's the case then they probably won't fit in my magazine.

Even if you didn't want to you have no choice but to jump this bullet, its ogvie is so far back that you're jumping it to the lands in any .308 SAAMI chamber.

My gun likes 45.8g Varget for this bullet.

My OAL # is to the Ogive. But it's not a 1-11 barrel so take it for what it's worth..

I have shot the 155's out of my M-1A with a Rock 1-11.25 barrel.
They shot great.I was using 42.5 of H-4895 with M-118LR Brass.
I used H-4895 because I was using a gas gun.

I've had good luck with the 155 in my crusader with a 45.4gr Varget in lapua brass. 2.800" COAL. fed 210Match primers. It shot both the Sierra's and the Scenars equally well.

Jpipes is spot on with jumping these, I'm jumping .080 to the lands with 46.5 IMR4895, Lapua brass Fed 210 primer, speed is 2955, 24 inch Rock 11.25 twist barrel.

That's what I used, 8.3mils to 1k, caution my load for these kinda hot, proceed with caution.

They ran fine in my 1:12 barrel.

My chamber is tight 2.840 to lands. Just shot a group at 2.808" oal. Can't remember ogive. Shot like shit. Should I load to 2.770". Gonna have to use win brass if that's the case

My 40x in 7.62 Nato loves that bullet in Palma brass with 44.6 IMR 4895. Barrel is 11.25 x27" My 1k yd load .
