Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I have a krg sitting here with an aw mag in it, cant tell for sure without the action if the standard mag latch works or if i need an extended one. I believe i need to dremel down on little raised portion to make a trigger hanger work but ill wait till the action is in hand to see.

That’s your best bet. Put it all away for now and forget about it until you have the action in hand.

Archimedes for sure. No point in making both the Coup and the Archimedes, not for now anyway. But the Archimedes is still a great action.

That said, as the company grows and hopefully becomes better managed, maybe the Arch is reserected. Please like variety and I'm not one to tell their hearts what they should desire.

Ted
If ARC is no longer going to manufacture the Archimedes what are the chances ARC might put them on sale to dump some inventory and pay for those new turning centers? Kinda hard to want to pay $1099 for the Archimedes while the Coup is at $899. Im a sucker for a sale, take my money.

Does anyone know what the scope base hight will be? Wondering if i can buy rings or if i have to wait till i have barreled action in hand. Have a scope with a 56mm od objective and 34mm tube.
If it hasn’t been answered yet ARC told me 28mm rings for my 34mm scope with a total objective end diameter of 58mm. ARC medium.

All of them are already gone, the only ones left are the left handed ones.

Bohem at PVA said that he’s tried the prototype CDG in the xylo and two types of MPA chassis just above. 👍🏻

Likelihood the CDG works with this when they're both available?

Pretty high.

I don't think I originally posted the link I meant to:

Darn it...tried to preorder a 223 or 6.5 barrel from PVA and I guess they are out of stock, guess I won't be getting a free muzzle break.
I talked to the stress reliever this morning. The latest production batch is on the way back today/tomorrow. We'll have more blanks finished with lapping early next week. I updated the inventory for 22, 6, 6.5 and 7mm to reflect what's done in the next 10 days.

If you want to place an order the inventory control allows it now.

What is the hold up on the tenon print? R&D for different angles of the cone?
There's final review work on the design being done to make sure that everything fits, feeds, and functions properly.

It's very close. I saw another draft on Saturday evening that appears to be nearly done. I'm optimistic that I'll see a finalized print in the next day or two.

Any idea if there is an adjustable mag catch for the ax chassis? Or should it be good to go
It may require some fitting to make the AW mags work in the chassis system, though the fact that the CDG was designed to use AW mags might make it easier. In the past, people using the AIAX chassis system have had to modify or change the mag catch to use AW mags. Not sure if that’s changed or even if you’ll have that issue. Just a heads up.

Every bore guide I have is way smaller than the bolt. All that matters is chamber size for the guide to work properly? What am I missing?
Eh it’s nice to have one that is reasonably well-fitted, results in less bending or off-center angles when running the cleaning rod. The off-center / off-axis part is important to me, after all the stories from barrel makers about people wrecking chambers via cleaning.

In for a PVA OBW 22GT. @bohem once print is available are you planning to run CDG orders or fulfill in the order they arrive with others?
We are putting them through with the other production based on the caliber ordered to avoid swapping reamers unnecessarily.

I have all the blanks contoured and muzzle work done, it has been a busy week in the contour lathe. Just waiting on the final print.

Do we have a list of stock/chassis mfgs that'll make a inlet for the CDG? I understand the obvious ARC Xylo will fit. MPA chassis will also fit but I am unsure about mfgs like Manners, Foundation, McMillan, KRG, etc. Ill do what I can to reach out to other companies to see if they'll cut a stock to accommodate the CDG's hanger.

I think the trigger hanger will be a easy fix in just about anything. I'm more concerned with being able to get a spare mag latch for adjustment. I have reached out to magpul and they said they will not sell a replacment so if you botch it your sol

I believe manners and McMillan are taking orders for this inlet.
